CNN BUSTED on polls
Hacktackular CNN

CNN just got totally busted pushing old poll numbers. They had a local reporter from Ohio on and they threw up the results of a Columbus Dispatch poll from October 4, which showed Bush over Kerry 51-44, and asked if "that's what you're is seeing now."

The guy gently said something like "Uh, no, that poll is several weeks old, the numbers have tightened considerably since then..."

The CNN anchor quickly brushed it off, "oh, uh, thanks for bringing that to our attention."

6. Stupid bastards. They make me sick to my stomach.
Almost as sick as the Kerry haters will make me when they blame Kerry if he loses the election.

10. It should make you more sick, Redleg. No matter how much you disagree
with the Kerry haters...they are still Democrats, and some are even out in the streets fighting for the cause.

decently whereas I don't expect the media to do so anymore. I have already read much crap here and elsewhere, from so-called Dems and liberals, blaming Kerry for not beating Bush in the polls. It's as though they are blaming Kerry for being unable to overcome the real tidal wave of negative ads and statements the Bushies and their ilk have run against Kerry. They are blaming Kerry for getting 'Gored' by the Bush-enabling media. They are blaming Kerry for not being "liberal" enough to appeal to progressive Dems, etc.

Some Dems blamed Gore when he didn't get selected as President and they will blame Kerry if he fails (or is failed by the system as was Gore).

14. I'm sorry, if sometimes I have questions about a candidate or choices made
I thought it was still We the People. I am out canvassing for Kerry. I am doing my darndest to see him elected, but I still may have issues with him. Sorry that you hate me for that. I'm trying to ensure that this is still a free country. :hi:

16. Did I say I hate you? I never used the word.
If you are canvassing for Kerry, you must not be a Kerry hater (either that or you have a way of dealing with cognitive dissonance). Having a few issues with Kerry does not constitute a hater. I do not agree with all of Kerry's positions or actions. I'm just not so spiteful as to blame him for losing if he loses.

18. Every time I bring them up I get jumped on.
I still think another candidate would have served my interests better. I'm behind Kerry all the way, he did great in the debates, BUT I will be upset if we don't win. It's a normal reaction for anybody who supported another candidate. Think about it. :hi:

19. I am sorry if people jump on you about that.
I understand what you are saying. You appear to be a thoughtful person who will support Kerry even though he does not fit you best. I appreciate that. Let's keep our fingers crossed that all will work out. I think many of us here are a bit frustrated and worried about this election and are more irritable than usual. Forgive me if I have rubbed you the wrong way.

Mea culpa. Kids are restless. Headache coming on. So, jump on poor Redleg. I shouldn't have and I am truly sorry. FWIW, I'm pretty happy with our position. :pals:

8. Even in thei "Poll of Polls"
They have consistantly selected the four or five polls that most favor Bush, avoid mentioning polls that show Kerry doing as well as Bush, and avoid Zogby and ARG like the plague.

They occasionally edit out portions of Zogby that make a point they want, but usually do so out of context.
