Early voting in New Mexico today featured long lines
and a lot of grumbling about Bush when the election official wasn't nearby. There were lots of questions about voting a straight party ticket, too, so perhaps Kerry's coattails will be adequate to dethrone Heather Wilson (R-Harpy) this time.

It's true my area of town is heavily Hispanic and working class, but the old money area is also close to the polling place, and quite a few of them were in evidence, too, smiling and pointing at the "NO W" stickers on my parked scooter.

Today was the first full day of early voting. I'll be checking out the lines later on, too, just to see how it's going.

3. Hi, I'm in New Mexico too.
Do you know where I can find out where I'm to go for early voting? This is my first time to vote so I have no clue.

7. Check out the site for your county clerk
Do a Google on (Comosellama) County Clerk. There should be a list of early voting sites there. If you're in a weird county with no website, then a phone call is in order.

Early voting has just started, just heard on the news that 8000 people have already voted, a record!

4. I know just from the March primaries here in Illinois
that voter turnout is going to be massive! I've been going to the same polling place for a few elections now and the turnout at the PRIMARIES this year was WAY larger than the turnout for the NOVEMBER ELECTION of 2000! If people are that eager at the primaries (which usually are quite sparsely attended in my experience), November 2 promises to be a blockbuster.

KERRY!!!!

8. My husband and I voted today in San Antonio
Waited about 40 minutes-- not bad though after 4 long years of waiting for this day to arrive, I would have waited 4 hours to vote.I didn't hear anyone saying anything political while waiting in line. Didn't see any bumperstickers for either the chimp or Kerry. No one was wearing any buttons either. So hard to get a reading on votes. Lots of seniors, a few 20 somethings. One guy had a Dave Matthews Band shirt on :-)
