10/19 Survey USA Ohio Poll - Kerry 49% Bush 47%
Survey: Ohio still a photo-finish; Kerry by a nose?
POSTED: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 5:33:25 PM
UPDATED: Tuesday, October 19, 2004 5:33:48 PM

CLEVELAND -- A Channel 3 News survey shows a tie between George Bush and John Kerry.

The poll, conducted by SurveyUSA for WKYC-TV, shows Kerry with 49% of Ohio's vote to Bush's 47%.

This is unchanged from our poll from 10/5. Kerry led by 1.45 points then, 1.70 points now.

Kerry leads by 17 percent in urban areas; Bush leads by 14 in rural Ohio and by 1 percent in Ohio's suburbs.

Question one: On November 2nd, Americans will elect a President. If the election for President of the United States were today, and you were standing in the voting booth right now, who would you vote for? Republican George W. Bush? Democrat John Kerry? Or some other candidate?

Bush 47%
Kerry 49%
Other 2%
Undecided 1%

1. Ohio, swingin' our way!
this is the 2nd or 3rd poll in a row that had Kerry inching ahead, Ohio looks more winnable than Florida right now. Time to mobilize the forces and take the state!
