Travelocity: On our side, or just being opportunistic? |
|
I just got a "Swing State Salute" travel deals email from Travelociy.

Dear (zaj),
You have two choices this election year: Sit on the couch and yell at the television, or get out and participate in the political process. Campaigns across the country are in desperate need of volunteers to help with voter turnout and more. This weekend, make a difference and book a Last Minute Deal to one of over 20 battleground swing states and pitch in!
(then they list packages to St. Louis, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Cleveland)
<snip>
So do you think they are "on our side" (get out the vote efforts are on both sides, but high turnout helps Dems).
In either case, it's a pretty cool sales campaign on their part, IMO.

1. they see a niche to market to |
|
and those cities are always on sale on one airline or another anyway. Clever marketing.
One can assume that liberals are better traveled than their pug cousins.
