It happens every fucking year, for crying out loud.

But we have "market based" pharmaceutical companies in the US, and it is more profitable for them to produce Viagra and shill it on fucking TV every ten minutes than produce something that will save thousands of lives.

Some months ago, ABC News had a report on the antibiotic crisis (many are no longer effective), in which a pharma CEO said that they did not feel they were morally obligated to research and produce them. FUCK THAT! For these greedy capitalist PIGS it's all about PROFIT -- profit is their fucking god and highest value.

Obviously, the fat guys in suits don't feel they are morally obligated to produce flu vaccine.

And the same fat guys in suits also don't feel they should be held responsible for fucking up the fucking flu vaccine supply -- Cheney and Bush say that lawsuits targetting them for the damages they wreck in people's lives are frivolous! BULLSHIT! There are frivolous suits, but let the courts decide their merit -- Edwards has a good plan that is win/win.

I am the caregiver of my frail 80 year old father and my severely asthmatic special needs brother -- and there are no vaccines to be had at the moment, and I don't know how the hell I'm going to be able to get them to the public clinics in this ghastly weather.

If Bush and his appointees can't handle a routine trouble -- it certainly is a giant leap of faith to imagine that they can handle bio-terrorism.

All they know and are good at is sucking up and concentrating wealth among themselves -- that's all their faux "war on terra" is. All it is is theatre, and then excuses.

The chances of my Dad and brother being killed by Al Qaeda this winter are about 10 trillion to 1. The chances of my Dad and brother dying from respiratory disease this winter -- I shudder to think about how easily it could happen.

Hell -- all Al Qaeda has to do this year is to get a few of their jihadists sick with flu, and just go and cough on people in public places, and Americans will drop dead by the tens of thousands this winter. Why should they go to the trouble of obtaining weaponized anthrax when they can terrorize us with the deadly flu that is expected? Hell, George W Bush sure made their work easy for them this year, if they are clever enough to be thinking along these lines.
