Nader is hitting five Kerry states!
Nader to Target Five Swing States Critical to Kerry
By Robert B. Bluey
CNSNews.com Staff Writer
October 19, 2004

Washington (CNSNews.com) - Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader plans to campaign heavily in 10 states over the next two weeks, including five battleground states that Democrat Al Gore narrowly won in 2000 and where Sen. John Kerry must prevail this year.

At a press conference Monday, Nader said his strategy is to take away votes from both Kerry and President Bush on Nov. 2. But by venturing to Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Nader is threatening Kerry's hold on states that Gore won four years ago.
***************************

If you notice, Nader is NOT going to hit Ohio, a must-win state for Bush! This jerk is obviously working for the GOP. He even just got kicked off the ballot in Pennsylvania! He's appealing, but still....what the heck does this jerk think he's doing? He's personally ticked at Kerry? Is that it? I'm beginning to think it's a personal thing, or the GOP has promised him something he couldn't refuse. Yeah....that sounds more likely. That's usu. the way the GOP works.

4. My thoughts on Naderites
Strange how none of the people I talk to who are frustrated with Kerry and who prefer to vote for the hypocrite Nader were anywhere around the Kucinich (or Dean) meetings back in the primaries. Even Nader did little to help Kucinich, who stands for everything Nader supporters claim Nader stands for. Only difference is Kucinich actually meant to win.

It must feel easier to be standing tragically on the outside, like your anger (which, of course, is more intense than others’) justifies another four years of Bush- that would teach those pansy Dems a lesson. I hope you sleep easier knowing that some people don’t have four years to wait for their medications (they will die first), they don’t have four years to wait for their sons to become draftable, they don’t have four more years to spare of losing (further) their rights to free expression, dissent, etc.

If anyone saw the Nader interview on Democracy Now last week, you must have noticed he admitted two things: 1. he knows he’s not going to win the election (Amy Goodman asked him what he was doing after the election and he didn’t say anything about moving into the White House), and 2. he knows Kerry is a better choice than Bush (that was a yes or no question). So what is he thinking then? He just seemed to think it was a battle he had to fight for the sake of fighting a battle. Sounds an awful lot like a certain U.S. president to me.

It is easy to spot the hypocrites in this presidential race. ALL of them are. It’s easy enough to figure out why I call Nader a hypocrite- Nader supporters have heard the reasons probably countless times. Kerry is clearly not the best answer to our problems, and is a definite hypocrite, but given that our best choice today is to vote Bush out, it is imperative that we do so. And yes, that means voting for Kerry. I will be rushing home to my hot shower as well, but I will at least be able to sleep at night knowing Bush is a tiny bit closer to being out of office.

The fact that we are victims of a two-party system right now is a battle that should be fought BETWEEN elections, not now. But just like last election, when this one ends, people will go back home, back to their same existence, and forget about it until the next frenzy of activity. It’s the A.D.D. of living a life in the U.S.- if it’s not in your face, you’re not thinking about it. If it’s so outrageous now, why wasn’t it a priority in 2001? In 2002? In 2003 even? Why can’t we now unite in voting for Kerry and save the election reform fight for after the election? If you’re waiting for election day to say what you think about elections, you are simply being lazy. There is a ton of work to be done toward election reform. If all the frustration of this election were channeled toward getting a reasonable election reform bill passed, we would finally set things right for generations to come. So join me in the vote-shower routine of November 2nd and after Bush is out, we can start to do the work of election reform. Or just stay pissed off and tragic and leave the next four years to Bush so you can stay pissed off and tragic.

5. Gee that should stir the natives to just jump on the Nader wagon
Sorry, in 2000 I saw a C-Span Nader big event. There were like 15 very 'unwashed' type people in a small conference room in Wisconsin. There was a big banner hanging back of Nader on the podium with his name on it. During the speech it curled up, fell down and damn near hit him on the head. Pathetic would be a merciful word to use. And we LET something that lame on the presidential ballot of this county????

The courts AGAIN told him to go pound sand...no reconsideration.

Unhappy because the people who he'd like to have supporting him, aren't. They know he's a loser. And now he's determined to screw the democrats out of spite.

14. Nader, the ultimate disruptor. Too bad there's no "ALERT" button for him..
Seriously, what's his point? Whatever it was, did he not make that point in 2000?

Frankly, I think the guy has lost his remaining marbles.

24. Has Nader said anything about the recent corporate tax cuts?
If Nader is insistant on continuing his Quixotic quest to destroy the Democratic Party, then shouldn't he at least be talking about the issues that he claims to stand for? Where is he on the recent corporate tax cuts, or on the recent Sinclair activities? If he isn't speaking out on these two issues, then he is showing how much of a hypocrite he is.

27. He mentioned corps in his latest article on Common Dreams
but not the pork package that Congress passed.

"The primacy of civic values, rooted in our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, must become our common objective for the common good. When state governments started chartering corporations in the early 1800s, these relatively small business entities were not supposed to be our masters. No one contemplated the emergence of gigantic global conglomerates using governments and trade agreements for their narrow ends. Corporations were seen as our servants under the vigilant rule of law. That's a vision we need to re-create. The people must stand tall so as to reclaim their sovereignty over big business. Strengthening the blessings of liberty and the benefits of justice invites us all to these challenges, both inside the electoral arenas and outside in the civic action arenas."

26. Two points
1. CNS is a far-right outfit, so any bad "news" for Kerry will be trumpeted there.
2. Nader won't take a single vote from Kerry. Anyone who, in 2004, votes for Nader would never vote for a candidate from either of the two major parties.
