Kerry: Clinton May Campaign on My Behalf
NEDRA PICKLER
Associated Press

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Democratic Sen. John Kerry said Tuesday that former President Clinton may be hitting the trail to campaign for him in the final two weeks before Election Day.

Clinton has spent the last six weeks recovering from heart surgery, with his doctors instructing him to get plenty of rest. Kerry campaign officials have eagerly awaited word whether Clinton could get out to personally encourage voters to support the Democratic presidential nominee.

Kerry told a Pennsylvania TV station that Clinton may come help him in the state where polls showed the Democrat tied with President Bush.

"I think it's possible in the next days former President Clinton may be here, working," Kerry told WGAL, the NBC affiliate in Lancaster.

3. I meant COME ON
Surely you've heard of the slang contraction of "come on" or am I dreaming again?

10. You mean, c'mon????
Is that what you mean? Contractions don't add letters, they subtract them.

11. uh, you're dreaming if you think "COMMON"
is a contraction of "Come On"

that would be "C'mon" if anything. you should edit your subj. it's just a typo after all.

that said, I don't want to see Clinton taking any risks with his health. he can issue statements, do radio or TV interviews w/o 'hitting the campaign trail'

4. What about making the rounds in Arkansas?
Could he go in there and come out with a majority of voters on his side?

6. With 2 Weeks To Go
I hope the Kerry campaign uses Clinton wisely. Since Kerry seems unable to make a good case for fiscal responsibility, maybe Clinton can remind us all just how much hard work by both parties to dig ourselves out of Reagan's Voodoo Economics pit... to get to a on-budget suplus... and how just as we were about to start paying down the national debt, Bush sabotaged it all.

9. Maybe Clinton could campaign in Arkansas
I read somewhere recently that Kerry is within striking distance of chimpie in Arkansas. Maybe Gore would be some use in Tennessee.

14. 1996 (Now Swing) States w/ Strong Popular Votes for Bill
The following states are swing states (or maybe) that were strong for Clinton (50% or close --- he won many swing states, but with less than 50% due to a good showing by Perot, maybe those states should be included here?):

ARKANSAS 53.7%
LOUISIANA 52%
PENNSYLVANIA 49.2%
WEST VIRGINIA 51.5%
WISCONSIN 48.8%

How about Bill also going to Louisiana and West Virginia?

16. PA is okay, but dammit put the Big Dog in Ohio! That's where it'll be won
Ohio is THE state this year. Kerry will win Pennsylvania if everyone does their job. Bush will win Florida if you-know-who does his job. This election will come down to Ohio. That's where we need to fight this. That's where you need to fire the artillery.

17. how will rw spin this
They will start the campaign of "Kerry is desperate" or "Kerry is so second banana..." don't get me wrong... I am HUGE fan of Clinton. He could probably be of great use in Arkansas. I know that he would cause media frenzy. Am I being short sighted here?
