A voter's final days of voting
The large majority of the electorate has made up its collective mind. In reality, the decision has already been made. The likelyhood of a stastistically tight race is statistically UNlikely, if you're considering the odds of a repeat. It doesn't happen that often. Excluding voting irregularities, the decision has likely already been made.

The undecideds largely represent a portion of the Republican party loyals (and they are loyal over there) who will hold their nose and vote Kerry Nov 2.

Moreover, I believe a number of Kerry voters are representing themselves as loyal to the President* until the bitter end, which will be their mantra once Kerry is elected: We support Kerry simply because he is our President, just as we did Bush*. They live deep in Republican territory afterall. Thank GOD for the secret ballot!

In reality, a significant percentage of the electorate still lends their support to the current President*, but fully intends to vote for Kerry Nov 2.

What Kerry has to do is make sure he doesn't lose their support with a gaff. Talk about plans after the election. Look forward with the information you already have and begin exposing some weaknesses that need strengthened. Talk about patriotism. Americans love that! Talk about families when you talk about health. For heavens sake, don't talk about judges, or sex, or death. Talk about the need to be strong. Talk about the strength of local communities, the strength of our differences. Don't get too specific. When asked about paying for things, just sigh and say, we've done it before...we can do it again.

We've done it before. We can do it again.

Kerry Nov 2
