He is the only reason I watch McGlaughlin. To see him make mincemeat of Tony Blankey.

5. Coltegeist Looks Medicated |

She sure don't look like a confident puppy does she?
Her defending Chenney's daughter is classic. Now Larry should have asked about her past comments regarding Chelsea Clinton, but that's be too easy.
Also, played the race card..."Kerry needs to run to the black churches"...
The full denial game is on.
Luntz just verified the Rove memo. If Kerry wins Ohio, Wisc. & Iowa, that's it! And Luntz knows what's happening in those states.

7. Ed Rollins is one of the GOP operatives I respect |
|
Not vicious, or a blind cheerleader for the cause. I haven't seen much of him this cycle.
In 2000, Rollins said a Democrat with a personality would have put Bush away early. Prior to debate #1, he said a strong Gore performance and the race was over.
I just heard Rollins make potentially a very astute analysis: Kerry needs to make inroads among married women the next two weeks. Otherwise, Rollins thinks Kerry will lose by 2-3 points.
I doubt that conclusion, but it's definitely the block Kerry is having trouble connecting with, based on my debate parties and a few focus groups I've seen -- age 35-55, or thereabouts, white married women. They have security concerns that are stealing from typical economic concerns, and prefer Bush's personal qualities to Kerry's. How we sway that group at this late date I don't know.

GOP? He is hardly worthy of respect and is spinning just like the rest of the GOPers. He is a little more subtle than some but his goal is the same -to demoralize Kerry supporters- There is no way kerry loses by 2-3 points- That's outright BS

11. I'm talking about his TV analysis, not tactics or ethics otherwise |
|
Married white women and working class, non-college educated men in the $20,000-50,000 income levels are the two blocks who demonstrate an unusual willingness to change allegiance midstream. I've seen that reported by Zogby and confirmed by other pollsters. Kerry needs to make inroads in each group to win this thing, or win it more comfortably.
Rollins mentioned that married white women block tonight, without prompting. I consider it the truth, not spin or alterior motive.
I agree the 2-3 point Kerry loss is absurd. But no more than some of the DU posts projecting a Kerry landslide.

13. Yes, the "security moms" are much more than a myth, |
|
contrary to what some on our side want to think. I know several women like this - socially liberal but "shell shocked" from 9-11. They are only voting on "who can protect me" this time around. Bush's scare tactics have worked, unfortunately. It's amazing how some folks actually think that an AWOL chickenhawk who pursues wars for a selfish ideological agenda is going to protect them from terrorism. It is truly a sad state of affairs this country is in.
"Kerry lacks passion." That what I keep hearing from women of all ages. He needs to show more passion and less of his technocrat side when speaking about national defense/terrorism. If he does this I think he will do better with women voters.
