Does The Media See The Irony In Bush Calling Kerry Consistently Liberal?

I don't get to watch much cable news thanks to my aggrieved pecuniary condition (had to cut down on such frivolties), but is the television media just rolling with this 180 degree turn by the Bush campaign?

After exhausting the swing voters with gross distortions of Kerry's record in order to portray him as an inconsistent flip-flopper, now they are turning to their base by slinging the poop around that Kerry is consistently liberal.

I know it is not really the media's job to act as some sort of "filter" between campaign spin and the public, but how are they doing on this abso-f'n-lutely ridiculous turn around?

Please tell me that Wolf Blitzer and Judy Woodruff and, uh, Tweety are consistently pointing out the painfully obvious irony.
