Richard Morrison picks up another endorsement
http://www.thefacts.com/story.lasso?ewcd=d72a8386ca5e8e70

With the message on his Web site and billboards, chief challenger Richard Morrison has hit the bipartisan nail on the head in his race for the U.S. House District 22 seat against incumbent Tom DeLay: “A congressman should serve the people of his district.”

Numerous newspapers, including The Facts, have endorsed opponents of DeLay, the Sugar Land Republican, in past elections. Usually, DeLay didn’t face a strong opponent, but it was hoped a “no” vote would send a message that the congressman should spend less time waging partisan power struggles and more time tending to the needs of his district.

< snip >

DeLay is so out of touch and so arrogant in his sense of entrenched power that he didn’t even return candidate questionnaires to statewide groups such as the League of Women Voters.

A defeat for DeLay would go a long way toward persuading others that there are limits to the level of corruption that even the most partisan district will accept. Morrison could bring back some much-needed sense to the district and end the vicious bipartisan gamesmanship.

Wow, Delay's getting worried!!!! He actually showed up at the
Clear Lake High School's Congressional Debate...this after
saying he couldn't make it because of prior commitments.
First time anyone's seen him debate. Morrison did great!

3. Help raise funds for an anti-DeLay attack ad
http://www.retiretomdelay.com/ for more info.

$100,000 needs to be raised to run an ad in his district.
