Because of DU, I HATE Republicans
Before I staggered into the underground, I merely disliked this administration. Now, because of DU, I loathe all Republicans and Republican defenders.

Thanks for this from the bottom of my heart! Life is now a lot more fun when you have something worth fighting for!

You guys rock! :yourock:

2. I've never liked repukes
There's just something really smug and arrogant about most of the ones I've met. I'm really good at discerning repuke tendencies in someone I've met even before they express them. I guess you could call it Puke-dar. Just something about the way they carry themselves.

6. There *were* some republicans
That I supported over the years, even though I'm a union man,
But thanks to DU, I can't even remember their *names*!

Thanks again, DU! :)

7. Good!
However, I don't hate Republicans, nor do I suggest that we follow them down the same path they love to follow. Not liking them is another matter. I would prefer to muster as much love and undestanding as I can towards them, as hard as that may be. It is a great counter and points out the hypocrisy that many of them are lost in.

I would rather think of it in the sense that we do not attribute much to people who act like micro-encephalitic folks as they try, enthusiastically, to influence the intelligent progress and growth of a society that requires some very deep thought in order to determine its destiny and progress

Was that too transparent? ;)

9. kinda sad, but they bring it upon themselves
I hate to hate.

I really do. It's awful to hate. But when somebody deserves it, I'll fucking hate them from the bottom of my soul.

I've been watching these people since 1980. They have become even more foul, corrupt, mean-spirited, immature, and abusive in those 24 years to the point where they barely qualify as human.

They make fifth-grade bullies look classy by comparison.

They are trying their damndest to destroy our country and destroy US just because they're psychologically fucked up and have a serious desire to hate, kill, and destroy.

It's sad that it's come to this, but they are the rot of this country and they need to be sliced off and thrown away.

10. Do you hate my mom?
Because my mom is a really kind and sweet little 77 year old lady who is voting for Kerry/Edwards. She just happens to be a Republican because of some faulty guidance from my late father.

Don't turn into them . Don't hate because of a label. That's the most un-liberal, un-progressive thing you could do.

12. I have to agree. Hate is a very strong word.
I know it's tempting. They strut around acting like the rules don't apply to them. Usually with all the maturity of a spoiled 8 year old bully. Ultimately though, hate is a Freeper thing and we should leave it to them. It's tough to be the better ones but I have no doubt we are!

13. I hate Freepers, not Republicans. Big difference.
Mom is a registered Republican because that is how she was raised. When she registered to vote, she thought Dems were welfare cheats. But she's turning into a closet Dem:

1984 Raygun
1988 I don't know how she voted
1992 Clinton
1996 Clinton
2000 did not vote
2004 really pissed at bu$h*, voting for Kerry:)

Now, I don't think this voting record is too shabby for a registered Repub:)--I just think she doesn't want to take the time to change her registration to Dem. She hated politics until bu$h* screwed the country and woke her up.

Freepers, on the other hand...now THEY should be the target of this thread. They are evil, but not all Republicans are freepers.:)

14. Not sure that's something to be proud of
Polarized views are usually bad, from either pole. All or nothing black/white thinking is the simplest way to sum up why the Bush administration is so terrible - the last thing I want to do is be guilty of that myself.

My long time conservative parents don't deserve hate - they deserve sympathy. They live their lives so much better than what they think they're politics are, and they're slowly beginning to see that. There are a lot of reasons people could call themselves republicans, and not all of the mare worthy of hatred.

17. The R. H. U. S. (Republican Haters Underground Society)
Really it's not an emotional thing if you ask me. It seems more like common sense and self defense. Just think how low things would be if everybody was just complacent and let it happen :scared:

It seems to me, that when the root or reason for fear is found it usually elicits a couple main responses, the first one being the 'ah-ha' I have or am seeing my mistake of this thing I misconstrued to be danger.

An the other response of Anger after the humiliation of being played a fool from which hate is derived.

18. In this case, "hate" is a good thing
It's like hating racism, killing, murder (all of which we are doing in Iraq). Seriously, if you don't hate republicans you are effed up, in my book anyway.

Re the remarks of people whose parents are republicans and don't deserve the hate, I see many of you have pointed out they are not functioning as stalwart republicans at this time.

Republicans: To know them is to hate them.
