For Kerry & Obama. I was soooo proud of her! Too bad we don't live in a swing state...

8. What about Nader/Cobb & Kerry?
I voted absentee for Nader in New York...because I'm going to Florida from Oct. 29-Nov 3 to get out the vote for Kerry.

I invite progressives in other safe states to do the same. Vote Cobb (Green Party - not on ballot in NY) or else Nader, then go kick ass for Kerry in the swing states. It's the best way to have our progressive cake and eat it too.

27. We need to win by a substantial margin, both in EV and in popular vote
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 03:33 PM by pmbryant
Diluting that margin by encouraging votes for 3rd party candidates lessens the repudiation the Repubs will feel in a few weeks.

EDIT: I voted for Kerry at lunchtime today! In Texas.

11. Maybe not a freeper . . .
There are, after all, lots of <fairly> reasonable people who don't trust Kerry and do trust the Chimp.

Yeah, I know, it baffles me too -- but somehow they've been conditioned to read resolute where we see reckless; morally clear where we see monomaniacal; sincere where we see cynical: over and over again.

It's something I can't get a handle on. This guy is so obviously the worst president since Buchanan, fer crissake, and yet people are going to vote for him. In the millions.

There's a question for you -- why would a reasonable person vote for the chimp.

P.S.: I voted last week, by mail, from Romania -- and my ballot went by diplomatic pouch. I'm fairly sure it'll get to my polling place.

13. It's not that there are not these short sighted, very scared people around
that will always go for *bush, the question is what the hay are they doing here? Glad you voted. I know it is a lot of trouble to do it if one is overseas.

26. Anyone who trusts the Chimp after the last 4 years cannot be called
"reasonable" by any definition of the word I understand.

15. I mailed my absentee ballot two weeks ago.
I couldn't wait to get my vote for Kerry on the record.

I'm not a pessimist, but what if something happened to me before I got my vote in the mail? :scared:

20. I voted for Kerry Saturday
Got my absentee ballot Saturday, filled it out--straight Democratic--and mailed it.

I live in western New York, where Kerry will carry New York by a huge margin, so my vote was to add to his national majority. At least I can say I added to the sum total majority of votes for the next president of the United States, John Kerry.

21. ALL DUers can get out the vote for Florida (early voting)
Even if you are NOT a Florida resident, you can work to get out the vote in Florida from your home!

Go here: http://betty.vivademocracy.com / and sign up to call voters and urge them to VOTE NOW for Kerry/ Edwards and Betty Castor (for Senate).

Surfing the net is fun, but action wins elections!

22. Held my nose and voted for Kerry yesterday.
Also, voted (D) for Senator, Governor and rep. No nose holding required for those progressives. Did vote Green for Lt.Gov. and Attorney General. All the rest Democrat.

usually I like to go before it gets crowded, so I can sort of stand and reflect in the booth before actually casting my vote for John Kerry. I'm going to take great pride in this.

25. Some time between now and Election Day, since I have an absentee ballot.
Currently considering two options -

1) Voting this week and ensuring that the ballot reaches its proper destination even if Team BCE uhhhh I mean "Al Qaeda" should manage to launch a "terra attack" designed to kill at least the West Coast voting. Which as far as I'm concerned is still highly probable, since Junior knows he can't win California and that Kerry is unlikely to win without it.

2) Hand delivering the ballot to the county auditors office on November 2 and then attempting to observe how things are being done there. Despite living in a city and state where Democrats win the majority of races most of the time, the Thurston County government is almost always dominated by Republicans. Sam Reed used to be our auditor - need I say any more?

Now in the event that a terra attack DID happen, this would probably be impossible.
