Pat Robertson talking with Bush prior to war.

Pat Robertson, an ardent Bush supporter, said he had that conversation with the president in Nashville, Tennessee, before the March 2003 invasion. He described Bush in the meeting as "the most self-assured man I've ever met in my life."

1. "You remember Mark Twain said, 'He looks like a contented Christian with four aces.' I mean he was just sitting there like, 'I'm on top of the world,' " Robertson said on the CNN show, "Paula Zahn Now."

"And I warned him about this war. I had deep misgivings about this war, deep misgivings. And I was trying to say, 'Mr. President, you had better prepare the American people for casualties.' "
Robertson said the president then told him, "Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties."

How the hell do we get this kind of information out to the public?

And this religious fruitcake still endorses Bush.

2. Why don't I believe Robertson about not supporting the war?
I'm betting he'd have been quite happy to jump start the end times.

But this is quite a bizarre statement from Bush. Really, no casualties when you invade/occupy a foreign country? But his administration also said it would "only" cost the Amercan taxpayer a few billion dollars and it was justified because Iraq had nuclear weapons capable of being detonated within 45 minutes.

I wish there was a 1st hand account and not reported 2nd hand from another known liar.

4. He did support the war
He was just more realistic about what was going to take place.

6. It's mind boggling.
A president going into a war, and says not worried about casualties ??? Tell that to the 1100 dead, 8,000 wounded.

This kind of statement from the only person who can send these people to die, is almost malfeasance.

I hope this statement is picked up and gets national air time. It's coming from a religious nut, who certainly wouldn't lie. Hell, he's a Bush supporter. So it kills all kinds of birds with one stone.

It shows we have a mental patient in the White House.

3. in his mind there haven't been any casualties

Have we lost any multi-millionaires, billionaires, haves, have mores? Ya know, his base? Nobody "important" has died there, just poor and lower middle class, mostly kids. Insignificant. :grr:

5. "the blessing of heaven is on Bush."
according to Patsy Robertson.

That's enough to make a guy an athiest.

This story needs some legs.

7. Someone, before the US Civil War, offered to drink all the blood...
...spilled in it, so sure was he that there wouldn't be any.

Bush knows nothing of war, so of course he was sanguine (forgive the pun) before the invasion.

People should not meddle in or with dangerous things they know nothing about.
