CNN panelist accuses 9/11 widow of lying in Kerry ad

CNN had a panel of Chicago journalists on this morning. One of them was from WLS, a woman named Terri. She was asked about the two ads about 9/11 -- one pro-Bush, the other pro-Kerry. She said the pro-Bush ad brought tears to her eyes, but the pro-Kerry ad told a big, fat lie.

She said the ad claims the 9/11 Commission said we are not safer when in fact the Commission said we are indeed safer, "but not safe."
I haven't seen either ad. And I don't remember the specific language the commission used. Perhaps someone here does.

But it sure seems that the media is quick to denounce any nuance as a lie if concerns Democrats, while Bush tells outrageous lies and the media just shrugs it off.

I know, I know. My husband flips the channels and somehow it got left there.

They stopped short of saying anything bad about Kristin, but they did claim that it was hypocritical of Kerry to use a 9/11 widow in an ad, yadda, yadda. :eyes:
