1. It was on twice last night - including the Moment of Zen at the close.
No links from me, but it was beautifully and forcefully delivered by bush - We will not have an all volunteer army!

The crowd goes quiet, someone yells, and dumbass corrects himself (or maybe he flip-flopped in his own speech), then reminds murrica we will not have a draft.

3. Sorry, But This Only Endears Him To Conservatives
By getting a bunch of know-it-all liberals nit-picking Bush's words.

The conservative crowd thinks: Bush may screw up the details, but you always know what he means. Kerry talks perfectly, but you never know what he really means.

I've given up on the Bush-is-a-retard meme.

5. It was a moment of pure Bushian existentialism
He forcefully delivered his line, "...and we will NOT have an all-volunteer army!"

Confused mutter from the crowd while Bush slowly becomes aware that the crowd is not reacting the way it's supposed to. He catches a few voices from the crowd, his ears seem to literally perk up. The light dawns.

"We WILL have an all-volunteer army!" Cheers and applause from the audience. Everything's back on track.

It's VERY clear from the video that if no one in the audience had been brave enough to speak up, he would have just sailed right on without any awareness of what he had just said. I tell you, it was a classic moment.

7. Stewart said it best when he pointed out the crowd wanted to applaud...
because they signed a pledge to applaud, but were confused about bush's statement.

8. Reminds me of Kang and Kodos
"Abortions for all!"

<Crowd boos>

"Okay... No abortions for anyone!"

<Crowd boos>

"Hmm... Abortions for some, little American flags for others!"

<Crowd cheers>

"This is too easy."
