Ok, I'm doing this on edit, so here's the story:

First of all, these signs have been here for 2 weeks, nothing disturbed. It's by my dad's place, on a county highway, in a very repug area in Wisconsin (Birnamwood, if you klnow where that is). My husband and I went over there one day. My dad said we could put up the signs. So we came over, and he had company when we got there. It was his brother and sister-in-law (my aunt & uncle) from Madison. We were a little hesitant to get going on the signs, because we didn't want to put my dad in an uncomfortable situation (didn't know what their political affiliation was). Well, it turns out they are long time Dems. In fact, they & my dad helped us put up the signs. Earlier, by the way, a repug staffer had stopped by and asked if she could put up a Mark Green (repug congressman) sign. My dad said, "No, I'm putting up Democratic signs only." God, I love him!!! He's rather soft spoken (like me-ha ha), and this was really something for him to do this. As we all put up the signs, there were 4-5 cars that drove by and and beeped, and gave us a thumbs up! Also, there was a couple (local farmers-thought they were repug) walking by and they said "Yeah,Kerry/Edwards! Hope is on the way!"
I stopped by a few days later, and asked my dad if anyone was giving him any crap. He said, to the contrary, he had gotten several compliments, and a local WWII Vet stopped by and complimented him on the signs and asked where he could get some. He expressed his total faith in John Kerry too. Said bu$h was a fake! I was especially glad to hear this, because I didn't want my dad getting harrassed or anything. He was actually gone for a couple of days, and the signs were still undisturbed!
This really is an excellent location, exposure all the way around. As you come into town, it's right there, sort of "announcing" that this is a Kerry/Edwards Town, in a red county, in a Kerry/Edwards STATE!

15. The best part of my new big sign

The only good spot to put it is conveniently under the light-sensitive spotlight, so at night it's even more difficult to ignore. Plus the spotlight on it (and the need for a ladder) will hopefully deter the sign stealing monkeys.

10. There are many signs around here

in AZ...but as of late...the Kerry/Edwards signs have been targets of vandals with paint ball guns and others have been spray painted with big W's in bright orange paint...

Of course the Bush/Cheney signs are not bothered...just goes to show that us Dems are not prone to act like children...the repugs are great at that...

11. I live in a Repuke town in NY

But what is interesting I see more Kerry/Edwards then ** signs and they have use 2-1 in registrations. I wish I could put one out but since I'm the only Dem in a appointed position in local government it would go against me. I do bust chops daily with all the good stuff I find on the "internets" and send it to my Repuke friends. :smoke:

16. I just got back from a repuke town in New York

and I saw a lot of b/c signs but there were some Kerry/Edwards signs too and what struck me was how much better looking our signs are.

This past weekend, I drove by and saw that someone had spray-painted "ANYONE BUT" above the names. Too funny. :thumbsup:
