Today Show! Bush beats Kerry 57%-47%-(1% Other) in Kids poll
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 01:40 PM by underpants
This was hilarious. Ann Curry (W cheerleader) was in "Democracy Plaza" with two really bright kids and Rebecca Bondor who lead the survey of 500,000 kids by Scholastic Magazine. Supposedly it has been accurate in every election except two (1960 and ?).

The graphic went up with Bush WINNING 57-47-1 (lots of votes for "Mom" mae up the 1%) and the Scholastic Magazine rep said that yes President Bush did win the poll 52-47-1....no comment was made that the full screen graphic totaled 105%.

Curry then asked one of the kids if this isn't very accurate because kids tend to vote as their parents do (nodding head)? The boy said yes and then went into a long description of how if your parents repeatedly say "BUSH IS THE BEST! BUSH IS THE BEST!" you will tend to think that way .....but if they keep saying "Bush is terrible. I can't believe what Bush is doing? Bush has made a mess of everything. He doesn't know what he is doing " You could hear Curry trying to interrupt him when he was stating the obvious on W.

Too funny.

14. The question has to be asked
"Is your children learning?"

No Child Left Behind....and some are counted twice (at least by the NBC graphics people)

3. That doesn't even add up to 100%
If they're going to lie, they should try not to make it totally obvious.
