1. This one? Nothing.

This evening I spoke to David Bennahum at Media Matters. He told me that at about 3:45 PM this afternoon, Glickenhaus got a call from Vicky Evans, from the Sinclair legal department. She said that their response to the demand letter would be arriving in Glickenhaus's fax machine momentarily.

What cranked out after a few moments was the press release later distributed publicly by Sinclair, which stated that they would not be broadcasting 'Stolen Honor.'

That was their response. And Glickenhaus judged it a sufficient response that they will not be making their request for an injunction tomorrow. Here's their letter back to Sinclair.

As I said in my earlier post, I don't have great confidence that it's not going to be the same smear repackaged with a new name. But we'll see.

3. So....
I guess I'm a little confused (sorry :silly: )

By saying that they're not airing "Stolen Honor", does that mean they're still going with their slightly shortened version of it? :puke:

They were discussing this on Al Franken this morning, but I didn't get to listen to all of it.

4. They are going to air segments and amplify the attack on Kerry
They will make it look like Kerry screwed the POWs and demand he tell them why.

5. :o/
Thanks for the info genious..

When I think about what they're doing- I just CANNOT believe that they're actually being allowed to go ahead with this. Despite the fact that Republicans dominate the FCC, it's just flat out WRONG!

Questions that are driving me nuts:

~ Does it seem to anyone else that CNN, MSNBC, etc..... are rarely even discussing the upcoming program??

~ Could one reason they (CNN, etc.) aren't making more of an issue of this because it will be so incredibly newsworthy once the deed has been done?

~ How would the media be covering this if the tides were turned, and all programming was being pre-empted for a smear against Bush???

~ Once this thing has been aired, will it consume the news non-stop? Will it dominate the weekend talk shows?

~ What has happened to our country to allow this to happen?
