Dana Bash on AF1 tells Judy Woodmuff "we're in a bubble." |
|
"We're in a bubble, traveling with the president. All we ever see are these adoring crowds."
She and the other dupe reporter ADMIT that they really don't know what Americans think, because they're covering Bush too closely. SO WHAT THE FUCK BUSINESS DO THEY HAVE REPORTING ON "THE RACE?" These people suck sooooooooooooo bad!
The GOOD news...Bash also acknowledged that today she heard one of them say they are really worried. I guess that'll probably be her last ride on the big plane...how dare she go off message!

11. Is it pronounced "Danna"? |
|
It just seems odd. It's not Dana, like Dana Carvey.

15. 'Dana' is a nice name ... |
|
... and actually it is good to hear that she has at least some comprehension that the Furious George campaign operates only inside its "faith-based reality".
Now, if only we could get Candy Crowzilla yanked out her "I-love-Bush-based reality".

Funny how in that film, the only reporter to recognize the "bubble" and its disservice to the voters was the London Financial Times reporter.
Now, it seems that they all recognize it, yet do not allow this knowledge to reflect in their reporting.
Lazy, lazy, lazy.

the press section was virtually EMPTY! When asked why Shrub only speaks to screened audiences, the reporters said that he doesn't like to see or hear any negativety, but I'm starting to think that he really is just a rank coward.
I think he freaked out on 9/11 and he's been freaked out ever since. He probably goes through every waking day, scared to death, wearing a kevlar vest and sweating with raw fear.
True, he doesn't want any discordant notes to interfere with his mistake laden stump speeches, I think he's trembling with fright that some 'outsider' will attack him. No more years for the lying coward!

First, I just heard Judy Woof Woof claim she's in "North Central" Iowa. Unless the Missouri River shifted overnight, Mason City is far Northwest on my map. And it's GOOP heartland...playing to the base/choir.
If Bunnypants were really competitive you'd see huge rallies in the Quad Cities or he'd be in Ohio. Instead you get the same old stump speech only meant to keep their hive intact.
Keep following where the candidates go, that's where their internal polls say there are votes that can be firmed up. From what we're seeing, one candidate is running to those areas, one is running from.

10. The reporters said they see * the way people at home see him |
|
They hear the same speech over and over, and only see him before his own cheering crowds. One (Chen) said he saw the first debate at home with his wife and was shocked because he'd never seen * like that on the road. These guys don't know anything. No wonder they write such sweet drivel about him.
When asked about the * team's confidence these days, the reporters said he seems confident and is sticking to a light schedule – home by 6, and off on Sunday. They were worried before the first debate but don't seem to be now, but they only focus on the good stats, not the bad ones.

14. and Dana Milbank said... |
|
....that reporters traveling with the pres suffer from "Stockholm Syndrome." He said it. There it is. The truth, and the explanation for our troubles.
It's precisely anti-democratic.
They said it's hard to get information from the outside world that will balance campaign spin. I guess their laptops don't have Internet access, eh?
Pfft. Milbank confessed the other day (again) that the press corps skewed coverage of Bush in Bush-Gore because Bush would make more interesting news in the WH.

Talking about how "pumped up" * crowds were, as opposed to Kerry crowds.
Said * crowds treated him like he was a rock star.
Well, you have to PAY to see rock stars.
however, I don't believe they ask you to sign loyalty oaths.
