Will the Bush comment "We won't have any casualities" get any media play?
Just heard the Paula Zahn-Pat Robertson conversation on Randi Rhodes where Pat said Bush told him there wouldn't be any casualities. WTF? How delusional. This could be harmful to Bush, no? Will this story have legs or will it just be buried??

1. Buried. You think we live in a Free Country with a Free Press?
We don't.

Imperial Amerika is as free under Bunnypants* as Rome was under Tiberius.

Sham "freedom" is no freedom at all.

2. That's INSANE! If he actually said that, we need BIG TIME news
coverage of that...it would show how detached from reality this man is, and just how much of a lose cannon he's become.

I am TRULY frightened ( not politically, not as hyperbole ) TRULY scared shit-less that a man with dementia, a man who's believes in the Apocalypse, a man who thinks God tells him what do to, a stupid man, a man with NO SELF DOUBT, and overconfidence to the point of absurdity, HAS HIS FINGER ON THE BUTTON!!!

Plus his brain is degenerating more and more each day...WE PRACTICALLY HAVE A CLINICALLY CRAZY MAN RUNNING OUR COUNTRY!

They don't let most folks like that even leave a halfway house.

3. You Cannot Blame the Press on this
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 02:39 PM by EagleEye
The Dems have not made a deal out of it at all. Either they are affraid to, or they are being typical Dems affraid of getting their hands dirty by fighting. This could be huge if we pushed it, BUT KERRY ISN'T PUSHING IT.

9. Kerry's camp just demanded a response.
But when the media allows Shrub to ignore them, what can you do? If you demand too long, you start to look whiney.

8. CNN just showed it and...
...mentioned that Mike McCurry has issued a statement calling on Bush to say whether Robertson has quoted him accurately or is lying.

If we could get McCurry's statement, we could push it.

11. Pat Robertson is
pure hatred covered with human-like skin. Why would * ask the advice of Satan before going to war anyway?

Robertson: Bush Said No Deaths in Iraq

By DOUGLASS K. DANIEL
Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says he warned President Bush before U.S. troops invaded Iraq that the United States would sustain casualties but that Bush responded, "Oh, no, we're not going to have any casualties."

White House and campaign advisers denied that Bush made the comment, with Karen Hughes saying, "I don't believe that happened. He must have misunderstood or misheard it."

Robertson, in an interview with CNN that aired Tuesday night, said God had told him that the war would be messy and a disaster. When he met with Bush in Nashville before the war Bush did not listen to his advice, Robertson said, and believed Saddam Hussein was an evil tyrant who needed to be removed.

"He was just sitting there, like, 'I'm on top of the world,' and I warned him about this war," Robertson said.
