Kerry wins prophetic kids poll
LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- The kids have spoken, and it's Sen. John Kerry with a convincing victory over President Bush on Nov. 2.

An unusual opinion poll that has correctly predicted the winner of the last four presidential elections has given Democratic challenger Kerry 57 percent against 43 percent for Bush, according to results released Wednesday.

The Nickelodeon cable channel, better known for programs "SpongeBob Squarepants" and "Jimmy Neutron," conducted "Kids Vote," an online survey of almost 400,000 children Tuesday.

SNIP

Nickelodeon, a unit of Viacom Inc., has organized its poll every election since 1988, and has a 100 percent record of picking the winner.

2. My kid votes for KERRY!
If he could vote.

Lancelot's debate performance made him laugh. Especially the first one.

Even he knows an idiot when he sees one.

3. Hah, that's right.
I remember Clinton won their phone poll in 1992.

Young children usually mirror the political leanings of their parents. When I was young, I was a supporter of the Republicans for no other reason than my parents were. Needless to say, that quickly changed when I got older.

4. ChannelOne is also doing a large kids poll...
My school participated in it yesterday. Unfortunately I had a lot of students voting for Bush, since that's what their parents are doing. :eyes:

The results are going to be released tomorrow.

5. Let me spoil this for everyone
just because I'm in a bad mood. bushbot won the Scholastic magazine poll. The Scholastic vote is conducted in schools. The Nick poll in online. Anyone can vote in it. Sorry, just felt like being a meanie.

7. So you're saying bush* "won" the poll of ineligible voters, but when
you conduct a poll whereby even real live actual eligible voters can participate, Kerry wins!!

11. It's more like I'm saying
I think the thread's pretty silly. We see things the way we want to. If it was reversed, bush winning nick and Kerry winning Scholastic, you would have defended Scholastic's mock vote.

10. I believe it was done by phone.....not the net.
At least that was what they did when I voted in it back in 1996.

Either way, they've guessed right in every election since 1988, which is pretty damn good.
