is the administration so desperately trying to tie Al Zarqawi and Bin Laden together because they know they can't find Bin Laden and they are going to instead trot out Al Zarqawi in the next 12 days and want it to be a Bin Laden equivolent catch?

I can't see it making much of a difference even if they do. Our apolitical fellow citizens may not know much about what is going on around them, but they sure as hell know who Bin Laden is...and Zarqawi ain't him.
