1. He did respond.
He released a statement that just said Bush is a great leader and he supports him 100%. I think you could take that to essentially mean Robertson is calling Bush/The White House liars. LOL. That definitely doesn't end this controversy. Somebody's lying, who is it?

3. Link?
I believe those suppoortive statements were a part of the
original Robertson-Zahn interview. Are you saying Robertson
has already had a response to the WH saying Bush did not
make the "no casualties" statement? If so, where's the link?

And the WH DID NOT call Robertson a "Liar."

9. The White House released a statement saying
they deny Bush saying 'no casualties'. I'd say thats calling Robertson a 'liar', in so many words.

I heard on FoxNews about a half hour ago that Robertson released a statement in reaction to The White House's denial in which he just said he supported the President. He didn't mention anything about the 'no casualties' quote; I take that to mean he's sticking to his story. At least, that's the way it sounded to me.

21. here you go
"In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, Robertson restated his "100 percent" support for Bush's re-election and said he began and ended his CNN interview "with my warm endorsement and praise of President Bush." But he did not back away from his comments.

"I emphatically stated that, 'I believe 'the blessing of heaven is upon him,' and I am persuaded that he will win this election and prevail on the war against terror in order to keep America safe from her avowed enemies," Robertson said."

23. Thank you. Wow! He had the chance to take it back
or give some other excuse but he didn't!
So, now, will this have legs?
A President goes to war based on lies and insane ideology
and believes there will not even be any American injuries.
This is strait-jacket territory. I expect to see more signs
of Bush's insanity manifest physically in these last two weeks.

6. Robertson left no doubt
about what was said. He didn't just mention it in passing. He obsessed over it.

Bush this is just as if you were in a dark closet masturbating, and the nation has just opened the door.

7. This will vanish, too
Just like every bit of anti-Bush news. The media will pretend it never happened, and Bush voters can continue to live in blissful ignorance.

10. story
"You remember Mark Twain said, 'He looks like a contented Christian with four aces.' I mean he was just sitting there like, 'I'm on top of the world,'"

The rovers are acting like it is one of those eggadurations. Recent History tells you to trust the messenger. Do you really think shrub knows the difference? He just knows he is right and that will never change. "Want some wood?" "Sweden is the neutral one."

We have given this guy enough rope to hang everyone that works for him.

At what point do we cut our loses?

11. If the Kerry Campaign doesn't make this
a big deal they would have blown a golden opportunity. They should be making an ad about this as we speak. Kerry and Edwards must use this on the stump

16. Let's keep our fingers crossed...the Kerry blog shows a statement from...
the Kerry campaign:

http://blog.johnkerry.com/blog/archives/003579.html

Bush's "No Casualties" Comment

Waterloo, IA – Kerry-Edwards campaign advisor Mike McCurry issued the following statement today in response to reports that President Bush told Pat Robertson that “we’re not going to have any casualties” in Iraq :

“We believe President Bush should get the benefit of the doubt here but he needs to come forward and answer a very simple question: Is Pat Robertson telling the truth when he said you didn’t think there’d be any casualties or is Pat Robertson lying?”

Hopefully, the Kerry campaign will keep this going!

Jennifer

22. since the Kerry campaign is not getting a direct response
I suggest that Kerry take that one on the stump, in the context of "This is strange. Which man is telling the truth? We know now that Reverend Robertson was correct, and the Iraq war is a disaster and messy, just as he predicted. "

And pound it until the bushbaby squeals!

Yeeehah!

14. Remember: Bush regimes denials are not believable...
...since in the third debate the Shrub himself denied making the Bin Laden remark, even though that had been made in public and was preserved on video tape.

Repeat the meme: Their denials are not believable.

15. Praise the Bush and pass the ammunition.
Even if he stumbles and messes up -- and he's had his share of stumbles and gaffes -- I just think God's blessing is on him," Robertson said.
