3. If you right click on the icon, select properties and copy the address and
paste it into your address bar, you will see a Kerry sign with a bunch of pins stuck into it.

We went over this a couple nights ago. Booby-trapping a sign (intentionally creating an unsafe condition in your yard) will get you sued.

7. Plus, you can get PR mileage if you do something else.
Don't booby trap it - train a camera on it or put an alarm on it, or replace a stolen sign with one that says, "You can steal my Kerry sign, but you can't steal the election again," or something similar. That helps change minds. The other way just inflicts pain.

24.

5. How's this?
I copied the picture over to my website; the other one is one of those freebie ones that does not permit direct links from other sites.

8. Probably won't bother the birds at all.
Arizona State University West tried to stop the pigeons from roosting all over campus by putting those things everywhere on the buildings. The pigeons used them to anchor their nests.

Still, it's not a good idea to do anything that might harm someone, especially a kid who thinks he's just being funny copying what mommy or daddy was doing.

11. The culprit could just kick up it out of the ground.
