New Poll Confirms that DeLay is in Danger -- From Morrison campaign
below is an email I just received.

New Poll Confirms that DeLay is in Danger

This is a race. DeLay and Club for Growth have bought a combined $500,000 in TV ads. DeLay even showed up and debated Richard last night in Clear Lake. A new third party poll shows that DeLay at 47%-- traditionally the kiss of death for incumbents.

That's the good news -- the bad news is that Richard Morrison's name ID is only 50% in the district. Our cable ads have brought him halfway there, but we need to raise another $100,000 in the next few days to place a broadcast TV buy to put Richard over the top. Please click here to make it happen: http://www.morrisonfor22.com/contribute/contribute.php

Here's what DailyKos had to say:

Good government watchdog group Campaign Money Watch and Democracy for America are entering the fray in DeLay's district, taking him to task for, well, being an all-around scumbag. I mean, it takes some real hard work to be admonished by the ethics committee three times in a week, while having a fourth charge deferred pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.

Club for Growth is now running ads for DeLay in the district. Club for Growth wouldn't be throwing money at this race if they weren't worried about DeLay's chances.

Remember when we first contributed to this race? Morrison was a nobody. My hope was to simply force DeLay to campaign more in the district, thus keeping him from campaigning and fundraising for other Republicans. Now Morrison is a serious candidate with a legitimate chance to win.

Amazing.

Let's pull this off -- please contribute here to help Richard make it over the top: http://www.morrisonfor22.com/contribute/contribute.php

thank you so much,

Kyle Johnston, Campaign Manager

1. Was DeLay too stupid to redraw his own district?
Undoubtedly

3. that sounds like good news to me
the bad news is that Richard Morrison's name ID is only 50% in the district.

It sounds to me like everyone who's heard of him is voting for him (since DeLay is at 47%). Shoot, sounds like some people who haven't heard of him are voting for him. Could be looking at a bigger landslide than the Kerry landslide. :bounce:
