John Kerry will be in Las Cruces, NM this Saturday at 1:00pm |
|
We're in the process at Democratic Headquarter here in Midland of organizing a large caravan. Kerry should pick up another large crowd from El Paso Texas just 50 miles away. It should be a another great one for the next president of the United States of America.
The polls have been crowded the last few days. I was ordered to remove my Kerry/Edwards button before I could received a paper voting ballot.

6. Hope so: that's been a requirement for years in most places |
|
I know I made sure it was enforced for both parties in my Republican pollwatcher days (you know, way back when "Republicans" were actual Republicans, and fascists ran as a third party). To this day I make a point of hiding or removing every trace of anything concerning a candidate or ballot measure before I cross the "no campaigning beyond this point" line.
So whoever asked that the button come off was just enforcing a reasonable, IMHO, law.

8. Are you in the Dallas area? Wanna carpool? |
|
I'm seriously thinking about it. If I can reschedule my election judge training.
It would be amazingly self-indulgent of me to spend all that time in the car, though, wouldn't it, instead of phonebanking and canvassing and stuff?
