My "unqualified" prediction: "Largest Voter Turnout in US history"
I have been voting in national elections for more years than I care to state here (less some of you folks think of me as "old"). That aside, I "attempted" to vote early here in Texas today (Austin-Travis county with 20+ early voting locations). I had 1.5 hrs to complete the task and make it to a scheduled appointment.

Guess what, I had to exit the queue after an hour to make my appt. This has never happened before. Last year I was in and out in under 30 mins.....I'll be going back tomorrow to try again.

So... for what it is worth from Texas. There is gonna be one hell of a turnout for this one folks... get ready to enjoy the ride.

1. No doubt... in sheer numbers

6. Right, safest prediction of all time
I could comfortably give anyone 100/1 odds if they wanted to bet against either one of your conclusions.

Numbers: 100% chance
Percentage: zero chance

...hatred and/or fear continues to be a strong motivator.

5. Poll watching in Plano, TX
The election crew cannot believe the turnout. 45 min wait, all day long, three days in a row now.

7. Well, Travis County ...
has got to be the most liberal in Texas (other than, perhaps, some of the Rio Grande valley counties). Still, it's good to hear that turnout is stong. Gotta be good for us.

8. An acquaintance at the Dem headquarters yesterday in Kansas City
said, "It'll either be a landslide or it will be stolen"...

I see Landslide everywhere.

4 years ago there were Bush bumper stickers EVERYWHERE. This year NONE. Oh, one or two here and there.....Kerry signs keep going up on all the streets into a bigger city. Landslide....and I think some red states are going to be an October surprise....

9. I was going to vote today in Denton County. Had an hour to spare, took one
look at the line and had to leave. I'll go tomorrow when I can spare an afternoon.

11. Just saw on another thread
the Repubs apparently had an aggressive phone campaign to encourage the faithful to get out and early vote. That may explain some of the numbers in Texas. At least in my part of Texas.

12. That makes sense ...
They're spinning. They want those early votes tallied, so that during election-night coverage all the MSM will report that Bush has a huge advantage going in. All the more important, then, that we encourage Dems. to get out and vote early.
