In her October 20 nationally syndicated column, author and FOX News Channel contributor Michelle Malkin attacked Women for Kerry, a "community" within the Kerry-Edwards '04 campaign that encourages voting and campaigning for Senators John Kerry and John Edwards based on the candidates's positions on issues important to women. She chastised the group, which she dubbed "Hysterical Women for Kerry," for focusing on issues not related to the war on terror. And in the same paragraph in which Malkin accused Women for Kerry, including Kerry's sister Peggy, of trying to scare female voters, Malkin herself mentioned beheadings, kidnappings, plots to kill children, and "malefactors crossing into our borders."

But Rosie is gone. And in her place, we have Hysterical Women for Kerry. They are self-absorbed celebrities who support banning all guns (except the ones their bodyguards use to protect them and their children). They are teachers' union bigwigs who support keeping all children hostage in public schools (except their own sons and daughters who have access to the best private institutions). They are sanctimonious environmentalists who oppose ostentatious energy consumption (except for their air-conditioned Malibu mansions and Gulfstream jets and custom Escalades).

They are antiwar activists who claim to love the troops (except when they're apologizing to the terrorists trying to kill our men and women in uniform). They are peace activists who balk at your son bringing in his "Star Wars" light saber for the kindergarten Halloween parade (but who have no problem serving as human shields for torture-loving dictators). They are ultrafeminists who purport to speak for all women (but not the unborn ones or the abstinent teenage ones or the minority conservative ones or the newly enfranchised ones in Afghanistan).

John Kerry, co-founder of the Vietnam Veterans of America, knows how to treat a soldier, before, during and after they have done their duty for the nation.

And if we should have to pull out of Iraq at some point, I'd rather not have Rumsfeld and Cheney in there orchestrating it if you don't mind. They showed how good they are at that sort of thing in Saigon, 1975. No thank you.

By the way, if women are hysterical at this point, it's because this current administration plays politics with the war on terror, and keeps trying to drum up support among Security moms with trumped up terror reports of possible school attacks, and three-month-old reports of Chechens entering New Mexico.

For you see, that's the only way anyone is going to vote for George Widowmaker Bush. Play on the emotions, and hope that your constituents can't read or think for themselves.

Nope. The best candidate for the job is definitely John Kerry. He will not only be a good president; he may even be a great president. I for one will be working to get him in office. I can't wait to see what he does.

Personally, I hope one of the first things he does is pull out his old investigator hat (remember Iran/Contra? Remember BCCI?) and have a look at the current administration. Honesty in government, what a concept.
