Bush in Lakeland on Saturday. If you want to protest see this.

Last evening I mentioned that President Bush would be visiting Lakeland Saturday. Here is the information I have received about the visit since:

The event will be held at Joker Marchant Stadium on Lakeland Hills Boulevard in the Tigertown complex. Ticketholders will be allowed in the stadium between 8:00 and 10:00 AM Saturday morning, so I would presume Bush would speak between 11:00 and Noon.

Unless he's planning to chopper directly into the stadium, you can expect traffic issues through town for much of Saturday morning if there is a motorcade, so be prepared.

Anyone want to give him a "Polk County Democratic Welcome"?

Believe it or not, "Joker" Marchant was a coach at our high school. Great guy. I grew up with his daughters. Don't ask me where the name came from. :evilgrin:
