Cheney gets Flu shot...so does John Snow and Bill Frist!!!!
http://www.drudgereport.com/flashfs.htm

Senator John Kerry's presidential campaign Wednesday slammed Vice President Dick Cheney, a heart patient, over reports he had a flu shot, despite a shortage of the vaccine.

The campaign complained that Treasury Secretary John Snow and Senate Majority leader Bill Frist also had jabs, despite Bush's advice that the young and healthy did not need to get an injection.

"Once again, the Bush administration proves that it is the 'do as we say, not as we do' White House," the campaign said in a statement issued in Pittsburgh where Kerry was campaigning.

"The very week that (health) secretary (Tommy) Thompson is telling Americans to keep calm, Dick Cheney, John Snow and Bill Frist are getting flu shots."

2. you don't want dick cheney to get the flu and die, do you?
Okay, serious face now on. Cheney I understand. He's definitely in the "at risk category." That man ought to get a flu shot.
Bush, prolly not, since he's very athletic and healthy (despite his refusing to get a physical, wtf is what that?!).

8. 2,000 shots have been reserved
For members of Congress, their staffs, and the pages.

If that isn't rationed health care, with the ELITES being taken care of first, I don't know WHAT is. And you know damn right well that plenty of spouses will sidle in for their little jab, too...can't suffer like the peons, you know!

15. For all of his faults, Gaius Caligula had the right idea about the Senate.
I am also disgusted about this rationing of health care for the Congressional elite.
In this age of telecommunications, why do they have to now live in DC?
Living in their home districts would make them a lot more responsive to their constituents , and save lots of tax $$$

6. Consider the close proximities of their accommodations,
the high incident of immune supressed inmates; HIV, HBV, HCV and so on....it's a good idea.

5. I hope that our Democratic leaders have the good sense to bypass
shots as long as there is a shortage. It is no surprise that chicken hawks would push their way to the front of the line.

10. The Congressional Democrats should arrange to have their shots
delivered to a clinic at a senior citizen center or nursing home. Make that jerk Fritt look like the selfish idiot that he is.

Legislators over 65 should get the shot; the others should get the mist if they're concerned, and the House and Senate medical offices should stock the flu remedies, like Tamiflu, so that those who feel it coming on can get some help on their way home to their sick bed.

11. Cheney's high risk, so he qualifies. Not Frist. Don't know about Snow.
The nerve of Frist. Don't know Snow, his age or health or anything.

14. Frist scares me
Everytime I see him on TV he reminds me of that coked-up zombie played by Henry Silva in the movie "Sharky's Machine."

13. Considering I'm under treatment for a heart problem, too...
Cheney SHOULD have one.

So should Kerry and Commander Bunnypants.

It is the height of irresponsibility for the President of the United States and that other guy walking around with the keys to the White House not to.

It is a legitimate national security issue.

As for Congress? Only if they are in a high risk category or Dems up for re-election.

Maybe they'll announce next week that Cheney needs to step down due to adverse reactions to his flu shot?
