I attended Richard Morrison fundraiser tonight
I attended a Richard Morrison fund raiser at John O'Quinn's house. The event was well attended and I think that Mr. Morrison raised a great deal of money.

Mr. Morrison is very impressive. He spoke a couple of minutes and was very passionate about his chances. The fact that DeLay has spent a great deal of money and not been able to get over 47% is very good news. Next week Mr. Morrison will have tv and radio ads on next week. He will not be able to match Delay but is going to get some coverage over the next two weeks.

Rep. Chris Bell was at the event and also spoke. Rep. Bell is one of the white democratic representative that Delay targeted in the redistricting. Rep. Bell is also responsible for the three admonishments levied against Delay this month. Delay has received more sanctions for ethical violations than any other member of the House.

Sheila Jackson Lee also attended. She is also very passionate about Richard Morrison.

It would be a great victory for the party for us to send Delay back to Sugarland to his bug killing business. Mr. Morrison is a good man and would be a great member of the House of Representatives.

4. What are you talking about?
Morrison is a Dean Dozen, DFA is running their first political ad for him starting tonight. They collected enough overnight to run the ad on TV in his district.

Morrison is a Kos Dozen. Daily Kos has collected huge amounts for him.

The DCCC is the group that was hesitant about making sure he was viable...and that is the traditional party system.

Morrison is a big issue with all of us.

6. Morrison has a chance
It will be a major victory if Mr. Morrison can defeat Delay. Morrison has a decent shot of defeating Delay. Several years ago, House Speaker Foley lost his re-electon bid which was a major blow to the democrats. We need to return the favor.
