Jeb Bush: BUSTED IN FLORIDA BY LOCAL PAPER
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2004/10/17/31220/302

In a May 4 e-mail obtained by the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, Florida Department of Law Enforcement computer expert Jeff Long told his boss that a Department of State computer expert had told him "that yesterday they recommended to the Gov that they 'pull the plug'" on the voter database..

5. I don't know why the people of Florida did not vote him out
when they had a chance. If they did we would not have to deal with him now. UGH...

7. My theory is that Jeb Bush knew they were going to kick him out ...
So he got McBride to run against Janet Reno in the democratic primaries and got people all twisted around with the spin that he was afraid of McBride when the one he was really afraid of was Janet Reno. Anyhow, the spin that the people bought was that McBride was the one to beat Jeb Bush, and that Janet Reno would not be the one.
An editor from one of Florida's major newspaper replied to an e-mail i sent her by saying that in her heart she would love to vote for Janet Reno but the polls were saying McBride was the man and she had to vote for the sure fire thing!!!!!!!!!! what a cackled dishonesty, I wrote back to her ... voting should be about what your heart tells you is right not what the polls tell you. she did not answer that e-mail, but she lost her vote to the stupidity of the polls. McBride campaigned a lot against Janet Reno... he really did not campaign all that hard, all that much, or all that viciously against Jeb Bush. Many say it was a set up between the two of them.

8. Janet sucks too...
Her Justice Department backed some very draconian legislation on cyber liberties.

9. i am not really sure what draconian legislation on cyber liberties you are
referring to ... i went to several of her campaign speeches and to a birthday bbq party they hosted at her house on her birthday. we, my husband and i, totally fell in love with the woman, with her honesty, with the fact that she is probably one of the few politicians who has never stolen a penny or spinned the truth, with the fact that she wanted to protect florida career service employees if she got in since jeb bush had already begun the privatization of so many of the florida careeer service jobs, we saw her as a stewart of the environment but also as a woman who knew the law, was patient in demanding the keeping of the law, but when the time came to execute the law that people like the cuban-americans in miami were mocking and throwing back in her face ... she did not hesitate for one moment to execute the law ... as in the capture and return of elian gonzalez to his father. we saw her as a woman who understood that prevention programs can often deter crime. we applauded her for all that she represented and still do applaud her.

6. "Recommend" ... That leaves Jebbie wiggle room to say
that as governor he had the right to make a decision. ANd he made it. And right or wrong he will stick with it because he's a "staying the course" kinda man. :eyes:
