Who thinks Osama is dead? |
|
I've been thinking that this man has been dead for at least two years now.
Other than the China talk and some audio tapes, he has basically disappeared.
Early on after 911 there were supposed audio tapes of Bin Laden. We haven't heard any thing like this for awhile now. Why not?
The man is either hiding really well, or is found sanctuary in a place like China. I really don't believe the China thing. It sounds made up and to convienent for an October surprise.
I think he was blown to pieces a few years ago.
What do ya think?

for a few years now. There's something really odd about the whole bin Laden/Al Qaeda bit, never mind this all started with the CIA's training bin Laden and whatwould later become known as the dreaded 'Al Qaeda' to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. bin Laden has been very useful to Bush.

3. I agree that the CIA/Bush/bin Laden link is odd but . . . |
|
. . . you would think Bush would use his death in the campaign if he were really dead. Kerry repeatedly hammers him on it.
I'm pretty sure he's alive.

If * wins the election, how many republicans will be seen every Sunday on the morning talk shows insisting that Bin Laden is dead and is no longer relevant.
If (when) Kerry wins, how many republicans will be seen every Sunday on the morning talk shows screaming about how Kerry has failed to capture an alive and very dangerous Bin Laden.

5. The tea leaves say, Osama is dead or deep underground. |
|
Everything the Bush administration does is carefully stage-managed.
If they had a live Osama in custody, or expected to get him, we would be hearing quite a bit from Bush about how our brave forces are tracking down the evil doer 24/7... all building up to the triumphant announcement of Osama's capture.
Instead, we get "I don't really think about him that much."
This suggests two possibilities to me. The first possibility is that Bush & Co. honestly have no idea if Osama is alive, and if so, where he might be. So they seek to downplay Osama lest people start asking impertinent questions about why he has not yet been caught.
The second possibility is that the Bush coterie has reason to believe that Bin Laden is dead (and has been for some time). This would explain why they're not really looking for him. Why don't they make a triumphant announcement of this happy news? Because if Osama is dead, there is no longer any reason for the American people to fear him. And if the American people stop being afraid for a few moments, they might notice the total mess that Bush & Co. have made of the country. Can't have that.

17. Good analysis- Bush, Inc. only cares how it will make them look |
|
This administration would stifle any news/intelligence about Bin Laden's death if they thought it might in any way diminish their power over the citizens of the USA.
These bastards have been so dishonest, have hidden so much, that they can't afford to risk being up-front and honest about anything. Everything they do has to be part of and fit the lie/alternate reality they have created. They can't keep it going for ever...

I really think they screwed by blowing him up instead of capturing him.
I don't think we'll ever know.

11. I think he's on dialysis in the basement of the White House. |
|
But they'll have unhooked him and transported him back to a cave in Afghanistan, where he'll magically appear being led out by U.S. soldiers, around Oct. 31/Nov. 1.

To the radical islamic fringe, which is something we don't need. Sooo, if we killed Osama and kept it quiet, then this is actually something Bushco did right (I can't believe I'm saying this).
Of course, knowing how the Bush gang does things, Osama probably died when he fell out of a cave, and it had nothing to do with American actions.

and have a thought:
The gov't may have intel that sleeper cells would be activated on news of Osama's death. Given that scenario (or the concern that it could happen), the gov't may have decided to keep the news of his death a secret.
Wouldn't be the first time the Federal Government kept something important from us.

21. Honestly, you don't know if there is any evidence. |
|
The only way we would know is if the news media reported it, and the only way they would find out is if the CIA, Pentagon or White House told them (either officially or through a leak.)
No press release, or no leak, and we have no way of knowing if the SEALs found Osama's body, or bits and pieces, when they searched the caves after the Tora Bora bombing.

25. I've heard "through the grapevine" |
|
(that grapevine consisting of active military officers on leave talking to law enforcement friends in the states) that the Russians killed OBL a couple of years ago (too long of a story to type out now).
Russia has OBL's remains and won't release them to the U.S. and allow Bush to take credit. Bush can't prove he's dead. Bush can't admit that Russia took him out instead of U.S. forces. So, best to let Americans believe that OBL is out there and still a threat...the "bogeyman", as others have said.
I have no idea if any of this is true, only that my law enforcement contacts have been told this at different times by non-acquainted military officers.
