The answer is obvious if you have a brain. Bush is hated by middle easterners because of Iraq. Kerry could mend some of the rifts with the middle east. Osama would love to have Bush in office to use as a recruiting tool against the US and our interests abroad.
If people don't hate you then they won't attack you.
