1. I have higher hopes
for OH.

Nothing to do with the people or the votes. Rather, BFEE is the concern in FL.

2. No question.
Once the slide started, it hasn't backed up. Nothing the Scrubbies have done since the final debate should have much impact, IMO. Unless there is a very late October surprise, Kerry wins it all in a landslide.

Ohio is up for grabs.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't gotv in Florida, but it's questionable who will be counting the votes if you know what I mean.

5. crooked GOP in florida
I think Ohio is a real possibility but will be real close. I'm not so confident about florida, not because Kerry won't get more votes, but because the only thing more corrupt in this country than the white house is Jeb Bush and his cronies in florida.

7. Kerry will take Ohio, but Florida will be a disaster.
I think Kerry will get the popular vote there, assuming every ballot is counted. But Jeb's not going to let that happen, now is he? But don't worry, the current Justice Department won't let anything "fishy" happen, as they are a paragon of integrity.

8. If Kerry wins, it will be because the Dems have done a good job
of keeping the Republicans honest. The Repubs have been cheating for so long, that's its invigorating to see the Dems getting proactive.

9. I honestly don't know why we waste a moment in Florida
Not just now but from the get go. It's silly to think we can go against that crime syndicate bananna republic down there AND don't forget how we were dead certain that all those really, really mad Dems down there would throw Jeb out on his ass in '02. He cruised to victory. And I have to tell you, it still makes me nervous all over this land when I saw that because I keep asking myself "are the Dems really, really that fired up as we think"---I don't want to get punched in the gut again like I did in the midterms of '02.

12. Gore actually won FL last time by a small margin, at that time I saw
maybe one Gore bumpersticker a day. This year, I see multiple Kerry bumperstickers each time I am on the road, EACH AND EVERY DAY, and many yard signs, too. I have people wave, honk and/or give me thumbs-up signals quite frequently as I drive around with my Kerry stickers on my car or while I'm wearing my Kerry t-shirt around town. We have unprecedented hostility (screaming, obscene gestures, vandalism and stealing of signs, etc.) against us from local rethugs, too. (Which I believe indicates their extreme fear and desperation.)

15. Good News About Ohio
At least in my family. My two formerly Rush listening wingnut brothers and one sister in-law are all fired up and voting for Kerry. One recently had to take a lower paying job after Big Bear Supermarkets (an OH institution) went out of business, and they both have boys scheduled to graduate from HS soon.

Funny, my one remaining sister-in-law is active in local Repub politics. She asked my brother to serve as a poll-watcher. He said OK, but then the next day she came back screaming at him because she found out he was no longer registered as a Repuke. He switched so he could vote in the DEM primary for Edwards.

Think he's still in the dog-house?

Anyway, that is my two cents about OH. and I also just completed my absentee ballott and mailed it yesterday!!!

For OH folks: I know that Voinovich is not as much of a wingnut as most repukes, but what are the chances he loses his seat?

I don't want just Kerry to win this year. I want the republican party to look like Faluja(sp) after Shock and Awe. I want them beat so bad that they will once again be in the wilderness for the next 50 years. I want them beat so thoroughly that THEY WILL NEVER AGAIN DREAM OF DARKENING THE WHITE HOUSE DOOR WITH ANOTHER *!!

19. I think the African American
community is fired up in Florida and Bush hurt himself with the senior over the flu shot and privatization of SS.
I really feel Kerry will take Florida easily.
