I heard on the radio this morning that * has taken the lead in WI
a CNN/USAToday/Gallup poll was cited.

Anyone else hear about this?

I thought Kerry was carrying Wisconsin.

1. Chuck Slimeball Todd of Hotline
was on Washington Journal this a.m. and was practically giving * every state out there - he said he even had Minnesota and Nevada was up by 6points which he said was huge...

I am so sick of these assholes polluting our public airwaves with lies and misrepresentations - I had to shut it off.

8. So Chuck Todd reports
Gallup numbers. I have only caught him once and it was on a good day for Kerry. I can't remember which polls he was quoting though.

20. I turned the little weasel off, too.
He began by gleefully announcing, "Good news this morning for supporters of Pres. Chimp." The he started in on some bogus
bullshit. Very predicatble.

Washington Journal is not fair and unbiased. They are constantly parading right wing shills in front of the camera, quoting from the Moonie Times, giving face time to the repuke Roll Call idiot, and cutting off Dem callers, especially the most coherent ones. The repukes who call in are a bunch of lunatics who are allowed to spew on and on.

I've decided he is a partisan hack. And I agree with you about Washington Journal - they are quickly descending into the "fair and balanced" Fox credibility status.

19. Haha - Gallup has * up there by more than Strat. Vision!
That shows how ridiculous Gallup is. If Strategic Vision has Bush only up by 2 in Wisconsin, we're in great shape. And today's poll has us ahead like I suspected we are!

as reported on www.electoral-vote.com has it Bush 49/Kerry 47. Yesterday Kerry was leading. Seems to indicate a dead heat -- keep working WI DUers!

6. This is Gallup AGAIN which just keeps running against what other
polls are saying. Unfortunately, CNN and a few others love to keep hying Gallup. When you oversample republicans, what else do you expect.

7. Gallup "poll" - that's all you need to know
I interviewed two political science professors this week for my job about the election.

When I mentioned how scattershot the polls seem to be, one scowled darkly and shook his head, while the other literally threw up his hands. These are guys who do polls professionally, and who know how the systems work. This year's polls, both agreed, are bullshit.

13. listen to the zogby polls
yesterdays Zogby poll had Kerry up in wisconsin by 2 points. It is the only poll I pay attention to. The others are a joke. Zogby was one of the only two polls to correctly predict things in 2000 before the election. I'm certain Kerry will win Wisconsin, but it will be very close. Much work to do yet!

9. phoney
Headlines in the Detroit News today...
"More Jobs lost, Unemployment now 6.8 percent"

"Bush leads in new Michigan Poll"

I can tell you right now that there is NO WAY Bush is going to
take Michigan. The Democrats are WIRED to the max here, and the
republicans are clearly ashamed of their boy, except for the
evangelicals. There is going to be a record setting turnout and
a clear Kerry victory.

Seeing this kind of obviously distorted polling makes it clear
to me that this is probably what we are seeing in
other states as well. I think the pollsters are in for
a big spanking on Nov 2.

14. Ignore that Detroit News poll
They have a sample of 400 and a margin of error of 5%.

This is a completely ridiculous poll.

11. Remember....
... these polls all have a margin of error of at least 3%. That means that any number can be off 3 points in either direction.

It means that if you poll a different sample of the same population in which voter sentiment has not changed ONE IOTA, that the numbers can swim around 3% in either direction.

These 1 and 2 point movements are totally insignificant.

12. Don't count us out - we're working hard here in WI
We have loads of new voters, college students that usually couldn't be bothered to vote and absentee voters that couldn't make it to the polls. The Dem's are working very hard running absentee ballot requests all over the place, my hubby put on 200 miles yesterday so that he could get a few more in under the deadline - these are people who never voted before, most of them are retired or disabled. Their voices will be heard for the first time in Nov 2nd.

15. Forget electoral-vote.com, he's only using the latest poll...
race2004.net lists multiple polls, much less noisy data:

http://www.race2004.net/states.php?state=wi

It's very close there. The undecideds will break mostly for Kerry.

Help GOTV there!

http://www.wbay.com/Global/story.asp?s=2457704

Kerry Widens Gap in Wisconsin

The newest poll from right here in the battleground state of Wisconsin shows Democratic presidential hopeful John Kerry now inching ahead of President Bush.

St. Norbert College and Wisconsin Public Radio surveyed people who said they would likely vote on November 2nd. Forty-eight percent said they support Senator Kerry, while 43 percent support President Bush.

If you factor in the five percent margin of error, the state is still up for grabs.

18. That's all part of the political strategy of the Repubs....
to get Kerry to spend more time in states where he is ahead and leave the states where Bush is behind.... Kerry is too smart to fall for that crap.
