Just an observation but
I watched tweety last night on "democracy plaza" PUKE!
but when they were speaking to the Gov of PA he said that the anger at Bush will motivate enough afro americans..and Ms Greenspan actually had a hard time believing it...They are surely not aware of what is really going on...THAT is enough to make people want a change....

Also...doesn't the whole sinclair thing make any of you feel great? I know its not over..but they are tainted...and its from the hard work of so many that want a change...

Its funny...we are making a difference...I coudln't believe Andrea Mitchell actually said this "but their anger at bush isn't going to motivate most of them to get out and vote" and the gov said "I dont' think you realize what is going on here"

My biggest hope is that there is NO question who won this election on November 2nd..AND that with FL being a huge mess..we still won decisively...that is my hope...I will be in heaven..

Keep up the tough work...we are making a difference...

1. Pin to balloon.
"POP" goes Mitchell's fantasy world. Are these people really from this planet?!?!

How can anyone be affiliated with a media company and NOT know what the fuck is going on?

2. they don't see it...
I was shocked..jaw dropped...couldn't believe she thinks that the anger for bush isn't pushing record registration....gimme a break...people want him out..whether they are energized with Kerry or not...they find him a decent alternative to the devil that is in there right now...can't get much worse than Bush..

that is going to be OUR november surprise..to watch that map turn blue...LOL!

3. I'm with ya.
November surprise, coming right up! Although it won't come as a surprise to many around here...only to the blind, deaf and dumb media.

8. You're exactly right. People want their country back.
It hasn't been recognizable under this administration. It was bad enough when it was confined to our borders, but now we're attacking and killing others because of Junior and his lies. Nope, sorry, we're getting our country BACK. Maybe Andrea and Alan should go have a look-see in Iraq for a little eye-opening. :eyes:

4. A prerequisite for being affiliated with the media is ignorance.

5. Did you see Matthews grab her arm
before she responded. He was like touching her to say, "Can you believe this guy?" He is such a jerk.

9. That is the BEST: "I don't think you realize what's going on here."
That just pegs it. I nominate that for the understatement of the year. Of COURSE she doesn't realize it. She's closer to the top than to the bottom. She hobknobs with other media people (who are as straitjacketed by the bush bias as she is - and who also have JOBS and good salaries and in some cases very good benefits), and her husband's circle of wealthy, high-powered, big-ticket, captains of industry and Wall Street types (who also aren't struggling to make ends meet and keep the wolves away from the door or worried about how they're going to put food on their families). Of COURSE she doesn't see it. Her beat doesn't even take her near the genuine folks out there coping in Realityland. She couldn't possibly know. She doesn't eat like they do. She doesn't shop like they do. She doesn't live like they do. She doesn't budget like they do. She doesn't struggle like they do. She doesn't come up short like they do. She doesn't endure fear and uncertainty like they do. She has no anger. Why on earth would she have any? Especially since she and her husband have benefited, financially, like gangbusters from the bush tax giveaways to the extra-rich. What would she know of the anger and disconnect?

She may very well find out on November 2nd. Assuming she has her eyes, ears, and her mind even halfway open.

Melissa, you are OUTSTANDINGLY correct! We ARE making a difference!!! Maybe just here on DU, too. Maybe it's only a little bit from here. But there are tons and tons and tons and tons of people around the country who are also doing their own little bit, in every way imagineable. There IS anger out there. Sheesh, I see it everywhere, myself. And it all adds up. If enough people do their own little bit, and don't give up hope, and keep working, and refuse to give up, eventually it all starts to converge and you reach a critical mass, and suddenly, you start to break through. Just think of the people who've broken out of prisons by digging, night after night after night, using just a spoon they stole from the mess hall.

Guys, do NOT for ONE MOMENT think that your efforts do not make a difference. THEY DO. The only way they don't - is if you give up.

12. i was laughing when he said that to her..
but you are right..she doesn't go around and get the feel of what is going on this country...these people live in a bubble in Washington DC and live fine happy lives...I see it...I hear it...people are willing to talk about the candidates and most have NOTHING good to say aobut BUsh here in heavily republican western MICHIGAN..

Lets show them what we can do on November 2nd...

10. I watched this rich white girl
tell the panel that blacks were disappointed with Kerry. I know full well that she doesn't have any access or contacts to make that judgement. They're looking at their own biased polls. Frankly I'm glad they won't know what hit them on election night. Gotta see their faces when we sweep their predictions into history's dust bin.

11. i want this election to be a HUGE wake up call to the pundits and
poll talkers...to say this before each and every time they speak of another poll after this election "well we don't know if we can determine this becasue look what happened in 2004" and I think they will be saying stuff like that for years to come
