George W Bush has created a hardened, divisive nation.... |
|
He has divided us to a dangerous level. From my reading of history, I cannot find another president that would equal the miserable job that Bush has done in the last four years. His incompetence, fake bravado, and radical policies have done great damage to our nation. But with the assistance of the national media and the skills of his political operatives, he has managed to convince enough people that he is the "leader" to lead us in these dangerous time, which he has created to a large degree. If reality and facts were the criteria, Bush would be at about 10% in the polls, rather than close to 50%. He has used a "divide and conquer" strategy masterfully. Unfortunately, he has done it for his personal political goals at the detriment of our nation.

Read Machiavelli. Karl has.
There is no honor, no right, no wrong, no principle, no truth, no lies.
There is only power. And winning or losing.
Was it the first of the bushgang defectors, John J. DiIulio Jr., the "Mayberry Machiavelli" guy, who pointed out they have no policy mechanisms in place at all, just politics.

* is a figurehead. He has a certain amount of power, due to his position, but has merely exploited and been the beneficiary of divisions already there. They were there throughout the Clinton administration and earlier as exemplified by such Machiavellian operatives as Delay and Gingrich.
I'm not arguing that he's an innocent puppet. I believe he is the evil spawn of an evil family, but he is only the point of the spear.
If we get rid of him but are still saddled with neo-con and theocratic organizations that put him in power we'll just see it all again, throughout Kerry's term and beyond.
We can't do as Clinton did, and graciously step into the winner's circle, letting all the scandals of the Reagan/Bush administrations fade away. We need to root these people out. See indictments and convictions of all the corrupt and criminal activities of this administration -- the voter fraud, the bribery, price fixing, stock manipulation, no-bid contracts.
These people have been operating a shadow government since St. Ronnie's days. They have prepared for this. How else could they have done so much for themselves in less than four years. If we don't get rid of them, see a hundred of their top people get significant prison time, it will only be worse next time around.
And they will be back.

The hot light of scrutiny should be on this, not coming to terms with it will choke this country, mortally.
