Boston themed election party
Edited on Thu Oct-21-04 12:07 PM by truthseeker1
I'm thinking of having a Boston theme at my election party - in honor of John Kerry, and I'm trying to come up with ideas for food - here's what I've got so far:

(revised list)

Lobster Bisque
Lobster Newberg
Boston Clam Chowder
Crab Cakes/Cod Cakes
Scrod
Cod
Boston Butt
Boston Baked Beans
Boston Lettuce Salad
Corn Muffins
Parker House Rolls
*MA Official State Dessert: Boston Cream Pie
*MA Official State Cookie: Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
New England Molasses Cookies
Pumpkin Pie
Sam Adams beer
Cranberry Juice
Cider

Am I missing any popular Boston foods? Anyone have any additional ideas?
Thanks in advance!

1. The New York Yankees.
'Cause *damn* did the Sox do a number on them!

I'm Rockymountaindem, a loyal Sox fan, and I approve this message.

2. What a great idea!
I think your list is excellent!

Crab cakes are more of a Maryland specialty. "Scrod" is Boston's.

3. Scrod
that's a fish, right? I don't recall ever seeing that in the local grocery stores (in LA).

What about Cod?

5. Lobster Bisque
doesn't that count? We're all too broke to have whole lobster!
