We're winning but the betters are betting against us. Apparently the repukes are just throwing their money away. I may have to take advantage of that.

The people who bet there may just be those with a gambling addiction of some sort. In any case, it is quite possible that the people gambling there tend to be Repugs to start with. So, outside the "reality-based" community...
