KERRY-EDWARDS ONLINE FORUM ACTION PLAN
The Kerry Edwards Online Forum has been here for just about one year now. (We launched on November 6, 2003 as the John Kerry Internet Town Meeting).

This has been an enlightening experience for the mod and admin team, and we are extremely grateful for ALL of your efforts! You have been talking to your friends, family and neighbors with intelligence and concern for our country and EVERYONE in it! You have been the backbone of our efforts to debunk and unravel the Bush/Cheney disinformation campaign! You have consistently and faithfully supported us and each other in this campaign. You have mentored, taught, learned, discussed, persuaded, nagged and generally held our feet to the fire to stay true to the spirit of this forum and our candidates!

The success of this forum wouldn't have happened without you; but we didn't assemble this army of passionate supporters just to tell you to go home!

There is a saying that goes, “Everyone talks about the weather but no one does anything about it.” We can’t change the weather, but we can change the direction in which our country is going. As of today, there are less than two weeks left in this campaign, 13 days in which we can change America. There is a place in this campaign for each and every one of you to be active and make a difference.

ACTION PLAN:

The single most important thing anyone can do is stop by your local Kerry-Edwards campaign office and volunteer your time to do phone banking, canvassing, distribute yard signs, answer the phones, etc. A list of campaign offices in 33 states can be found on the Kerry Edwards website:

Here are some other ways you can help even when you can’t make it to your local campaign office:

MAKE PHONE CALLS: If you have a long distance calling plan, you can provide enormous assistance to pivotal swing states by phone banking from home! Simply fill out the form and we will put you in touch with a campaign coordinator in a battleground state that needs your help! They will provide you with phone scripts in MS Word format, a phone list in MS Excel format, and data recording instructions.

CANVAS YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD: You can download one of our approved Kerry flyers, make copies, and distribute them on doors in and around your neighborhood. Bring them to the bank, your bridge club, or to your bowling league; anywhere you gather with friends or family!

VISIBILITY: Put a bumper sticker on your car and wear a Kerry/Edwards pin or button all day, every day. Put up a yard sign! If you can't get one, get creative and make one! Keep the Kerry/Edwards name in front of voters as much as possible. You’re providing advertising for the campaign, and you don’t even have to think about it! Can it get any easier?

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR AND OTHER MEDIA CONTACTS: Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper! Our LTE tips will teach you how to write a perfect letter and our rapid response talking points will give you the ammunition you need.

POST ON BLOGS AND FORUMS: Spread John Kerry’s progressive message by participating on message boards, newsgroups and blogs beyond the officially sanctioned Kerry forum and blog! Check out our links to some of the progressive websites on the Internet (but don’t preach only to the choir! There are many conservative message boards out there that may benefit from hearing the John Kerry message as well!) Everything we do to get the Kerry message out is useful!
