Where has "Joementum Leiberman" been?
Why has the DLC/DNC not made this "moralistic" person take one for party and come out and call Bush a liar?

He was more than willing to hammer Clinton on his sexual lies, but why isn't he willing to come out and call Bush for what he is to? And Bush's lies have been much more drastic and damaging than Clintons.

8. Keep that meandering twit under lock and key until November 3rd.
It's not right that he hit Clinton and not Bush, I agree. But Joementum isn't going to garner Kerry any votes by calling Bush a liar. All he'll do is shore up Bush's base. He's also a dreadfully awful speaker, and a spineless little whisp of a man. The less people associate him with John Kerry, the better.

15. Wow, your spelling is lousy -- it's K-E-R-R-Y
I've noticed a most Lieberman critics are suffer from a chronic inability to tell the truth.

Lieberman has endorsed Kerry and has made campaign appearances on his behalf.

I hope someone challenges him in the primaries. Even if he ends up winning again, I want him to know that a lot of people really don't like the job he's doin.

19. It's reasoning like this which explains why the Dems lost Congress
Too many so-called liberals are more fixated on defeating Democrats than they are on defeating Republicans. Lieberman's voting record miles ahead of any Republican in the Senate, with the possible exception of Lincoln Chafee. Our time would be far better spent targeting vulnerable Republicans. Of course, I suspect many Lieberman bashers derive a smug satisfaction from being politically marginalized, and would actuall prefer that the Democrats remain a beleagured minority.

27. I'm not interested in a purge
I do think democrats in the senate and house need to wake the hell up though. Daschle is a decent enough guy...and I understand his predicament. He's from a bright red state.

Lieberman has no excuse though.

24. Thank you. I am from
CT and amazed by some of the comments here. People should actually look at his voting record before going on about how he loves Bush and is working for him. Ridiculous. Yes, he is more Conservative when it comes to things like the military, school vouchers and some other issues. But he is not by any means a right wing nut. He votes along Democratic Party lines much more often than not. I wish he had not spoken out publicly against Clinton and I do like Dodd better but Lieberman is not right wing by a long shot.

I just can't forgive him for the way he's been the past year. There are plenty conservative dems out there and I don't whine about them too much because they are from very conservative states.

This goes beyond his support for the war in Iraq. I was annoyed by that but I still defended his record. I will agree that on domestic affairs it is pretty moderate, if not left of center.

However his inability to condemn Abu Ghraib, his dismissal of Clarke's comments, and his inability to defend Kerry's vote against the 87 billion dollar Halliburton give a way, is indefensible.

I'd take him over a republican, but I still think a relatively liberal state like CT can do better.
