Bush has a health plan ??
He has about 4 million more people have slid into the column of "no health insurance" in his last four years, now totalling about 44 million. Funny that he had never mentioned it until this week?? Is his plan to put 4 million more people into the "no insurance" column in his next four fears? Is he just blowing smoke out of his ass again?

4. A clinic in every county
Doctor staffed, full health clinic, for poor people. If that isn't government health care, I don't know what is. Plus medical savings accounts. So, if you can save up enough money for your health care before you need it, you're in good shape. Otherwise go to the county health clinic, if you can afford the gas to get there, and wait with the 25% of adult Americans who have no health insurance.

8. A free clinic?
How will "poor" be decided? If you fall outside the parameters but still have no healthcare, are you allowed to die?

What happens if you need surgery or cutting edge care? Are you allowed to die?

17. You got me
But it's on his web site. Two health care systems. Government doctors. I do not understand why the campaign doesn't jump on this and believe me I've tried everything I know to get them to.

5. I heard something about a $3,000 tax credit.
Not much help for people who don't pay $3,000 in taxes.

Not much help for people who have no place to purchase health insurance.

Typical.

7. He has a "health plan" that will only benefit the wealthy.
He has nothing but scorn for those who are not wealthy.

9. The problem is the bill is paid by a third party?
And that third party would be the insurance company right?

So the problem with health care costs is that too many people have health insurance?
I think this is really his plan.

Is he smoking crack?

A good friend of mine lost his job and lost his insurance. He had to have emergency surgery and spend a few days in the hospital. The bill between the hospital and the Doctors and everything else came to $45,000! There was no middle man involved, no third party. Just him and the doctor and the hospital. He's so in debt now he may never get out from under it. He's totally screwed now.

That's the chimp's plan.

11. As usual, Bush is dusting off the plan he offered in 2000
In opposition to Gores, which he immediately dropped as soon as the election was over.

A proposed tax credit is part of Bush's plan. He promised a similar plpan in 2000, where single people earning less than 25,000 a year would get a big 1000 dollar tax credit to help with health insurance. A married couple earning less that 25,000 would get 2,000 dollars. As income went further up towards 50,000, the tax credit would go down. Notice Bush's typical "Republican and Christian" Gernerosity with low income citizens.

As Gore pointed out the sums Bush was offering were not adequate for antone to purchase health insurance, and those who recieved the credit would sinply not be able to afford the rest of the cost of health insurance.

Of course this is all moot, because as usual, this was a promise to the poor that Bush did not keep and never intended to.
