So how can Republicans fix the vote?
Are they sneaking into polling places at night and changing the vote tallies? Are they collecting fake absentee ballots, and planning to sneak them into the room where they're counted? Are they filling out absentee ballots for soldiers who did vote? How can they cheat? And what protection, if any, do we have against cheating?

1. There are lots of ways to cheat.
Destroying ballots is one. Simply marking down a different vote than was cast is another. Tampering with the firmware of the electronic voting machines (which, contrary to popular belief, would NOT be revealed by any sort of absurd paper trail) before the votes are cast is yet another.

3. BBV and other things
Like calling recounts like crazy and screwing around with the process of recounting (FL 2000)

But, voter suppression, depression, confusion and chaos is their fare. Not to mess with the actual votes that much but to lower the turn-out by any means necessary.

However, I think Florida 2000 has emboldened the GOP to direct voter fraud during the tally process.

4. The biggest problem is BBV (Black Box Voting),
Two sets of books allowing one set of votes to be co-opted by another and the code that makes up the programs in the devices themselves is very insecure. Hacking, then, would be an easy task to do. Then again, either of these can work in either party's favor.

The second thing they can do (and have done) is purge "felons" from the voter list (ala 2000 Florida election). They have been able to, quite literally, remove thousands of eligible voters from lists using false information.

I hope that progressive groups have prepared themselves for another court fight, because one could imagine how that could happen.
