The Robertson bomb MUST be made into a commercial.
Robertson has no possible way to back down, soften or change his statement. He was clearly emphatic on the Paula Zahn show about how memorable the statement was when he heard it. He named he city, state and time. And the meeting where it was said.

Further he proclaimed on the show, that he is a die-hard Bush supporter. It can't be called dirty politics because the appearance and the statements he made are on video record. A 527 commercial must be made with him showing Bush told him there would be no causalties. All we're doing is using the statement that came out of Robertson's mouth.

The commercial airing will then be self propagating to do the damage. Bush or Robertson, one of them is going to have to say it is innacurrate, distorted, untrue. They cannot afford to let that statement penetrate. But it will. If they don't defend it, we'll ride it all the way to November. If they do, ONE of them alienates their base. Either way, we win. A commercial is the only thing that will force it to stay in the news.

That is critical that it does. Otherwise, we lose a golden devastating gift that has been handed to us on a silver platter.

2. The logic is there, too...
...if people would just stop and think for a second. How could a President of the United States engage in warfare without planning an exit strategy, or much of anything else for that matter, other than the initial invasion? That's not simply a mistake, or lapse in judgement. That had to be completely intentional. Why? Because he REALLY thought we would suffer no casualties!!! It makes perfect sense to me.

4. That's the strong point I'm making here.
It's already starting to lose the shock value in the news programs. It wasn't even on Olbermann last night. And why in the world it wasn't I don't know.

But a controversial television commercial that is airing (especially the battleground states) is reported just for the fact of the attention the commercial is getting. If you think not, look at the Swift Boat ads. The news had to cover it.

The beauty of this is that all we're doing is showing Robertson making a statement. We don't know if it's true or not. We didn't force Robertson to make the statement. Yet he made it on national television. He's not a democrat that would have reason to make a made up statement about Bush. Why would he do such a thing?

Ladies and gentleman of America, we're just trying to get to the truth here. We welcome the opportunity to be corrected if we misunderstood. Please help us understand why such a disturbing statement would be so clearly defined in Mr. Robertson's mind and not be true. We would gladly apologize if we have stated anything innaccurately.

That ad would be like poison ivy all over their body.

3. I don't know...there's something fishy about Robertson's statement...
It's too much of a gift. Maybe I'm just a little paranoided out, but the timing is weird.
And if he's so diehard Bush, why would he publicize the statement? I can't figure out what Rove's angle would be on this--they're certainly trying to discredit Robertson, and shift focus onto the lame supposed gaffes of Teresa Kerry and Joe Biden--but something doesn't smell right about this Robertson thing.
