Last night, as we watched our beloved Astros lose a heartbreaker, an interesting thing happened in Houston. The bar we were in had a "debate" upstairs sponsored by a Houston journalism society and had O'Neill and the Texans for Truth dude. The topic was 527's, good or bad?

Well, O'Neill spent about 10 seconds on that topic then lashed at Kerry the rest of the night. The other guy was good, just not as shameless a huckster for his book. O'Neill did not like admitting to me, when I questioned him (wearing my Republicans for Kerry" shirt), that his top two contributors, big oil man Boone Pickens and bigger real estate dude Bob Perry, had each given him about $1.5 million for his "little" organization. The crowd recoiled.

The point is this: Even in Houston, the home of the reds, there is amazing sentiment against Bush. Have faith everyone, the train is coming.
