Im a Chicagoan, in Florida right now... WOW

first off, I had not seen a Bush commercial in weeks. I get down to South Beach and there is one on every television break... and my oh my do they look desperate... one with an image of a little boy while an announcer blast's Kerry's record on defense and terrorism. The commercial ends in "how can kerry protect our childern" or some crap like that.

Kerry's commercials are just as frequent down here, but much less frightening... and Kerry speaks in his commercials, with a more positive outlook.

SOOOO many Kerry/Edwards signs in windows, on cars, buttons, stickers... just a ton. Very very few Bush signs at all.

I was on Lincoln ave today, and there were people canvassing for K/E, which was great to see. I know South Beach is probably much more liberal than the rest of Florida, but its nice to see people trying to get the vote out.

My observations from south florida... I know its very different on the panhandle... but its great where I am at.

3. Nice to have a perspective from outside Florida...
...we in the state have been so bombarded by adds, including those from Betty Castor or Mel Martinez, that they become like the palm trees...we know they're there...we just don't take much notice of them anymore.

5. Wow, that's interesting! Thanks. Good to hear how it is on the ground
in a battleground state. I'm here in Texas. I guess you can imagine what it's like here. Still and all, more Dem. signs than usual. Very few political signs at all, actually. 3 K/E signs on my street; one Bush/Cheney sign. BUT four U.S. Dem. Rep. signs to 3 U.S. Repub. Rep. sign. Closer, but still MORE Dem. signs. Sweeet.
