It's a video of Richard Morrison vs. Bugman Delay candidate forum at Clear Lake high school. There are 2 other candidates, but they are mostly edited out of the video. Skip about 10 minutes in to the video to get to the opening statements, but don't miss the cute M O R R I S O N cheerleaders at the beginning.

I watched about the first 30 minutes, which consisted of the introductions and a couple of questions about the railroad coming through the area (local big deal) and a regional mobility system for Houston.

The introductions went kind of like this:

Morrison:
"I'm a Texas democrat.... My grandfather ... told me that I should serve God, family and country. I believe the people of district 22 would like a representative that also would serve God, family, and country."

(paraphrase) My grandfather taught me What it meant to be a democrat from Texas: You can spend the money ... but you have to have the money to spend. This Congress has spent money like drunken sailors. I want to go up to Congress and get rid of the deficit.

Bugman:
Committed to the war on terra.... committed to our servicemen and women... I'll continue to introduce measures to export democracy, and Republican's successful work here at home growing the economy. (WTF? yeah, they've done a fine job.)

Anyone wanna report on the rest? I wanted to watch the whole thing to see if anything really spicy got said, but I have to go phonebank....
