I think that photo-op fell flat. Personally I was diguisted to see those guys dragging dead ducks. And why the heck didn'y Kerry carry his own dead duck?
What a dumb stunt...like Bubba's gonna vote the right way because Kerry killed a duck.

2. It isn't a "gate." No one broke into the ducks. |

While it is hard to be sure, it could be the strain that is so common it is a nuisance in many parts of the country.
Well. Proves two things.
1) Kerry doesn't think he has to worry about his keeping his base on board. Bush* will do it for him. (Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure nobody on this board is voting for the shrub out of disgust that Kerry offed a goose with a shotgun!)
2) Kerry has, or can borrow, clothing for every occasion.
Hunting is actually a pretty elitist sport. The equipment is costly, and the practice requires access to fairly extensive tracts of land, which is a costly resource. Liesure, too. But I guess the point is, he can be a different kind of elitist.

8. Hunting is NOT an Elitist Sport, my friend. |

Up here a lot of folks hunt and fish. Some for fun, but a lot more for food. I live in one of the parts of the country were Bush's economic "recovery" is not only missing, but hasn't even been sighted comin' over the hill.
Let's say you are a wood cutter, the paper mill has closed and those wood harvest outfits that are cutting are hiring Canadian labor, cause the costs are cheaper. You have yourself and 4 kids to feed, what do you do?
Other folks, in not quite as bad a shape, he might not need to hunt to feed his family, but putting a hundred pounds of deer meat will certainly help stretch the family food budget. And then there are those who hunt because it is a family tradition.
Not all hunters have second home wood cabins by the lake, that are used as a tax write off. Up here hunting is almost as normal as heading out to the Food Mart, but without the slurpies.

7. Why a duck? They were hunting geese. Why a gate? |

If you eat poultry, someone has to kill it.
What is this -- GOP talking points? If four men go hunting but only bag three geese, someone gets to walk home carrying only his rifle. Why not Kerry? My Labrador approved since it left Kerry's hands free to pet the Lab they had with them.
